the worse teacher that i had ever met. you won't get grade although your answer is correct. you must follow his useless steps for credit. finally, don't take his class

His class is easy to follow, and he gives a lot of extra credit opportunities! Make sure you do the hmwk he assigns, and ask questions during class. He is very approachable and friendly. I would definitely take his class again. Keep in mind that you'll need to study at least 5 hrs per week for this class alone in order to fully understand the class

His Physics 50 in summer quarter is supper easy, but don't let that fool you! In normal quarter his classes are quite challenging! Make your choices wisely!

He's awesome, easy to approach and generally a really cool guy. He uses physical models like springs and basketballs to help visualize certain concepts which is nice. His quizzes are really easy, basically a copy of the homework. Make sure your work is detailed and well labelled on the test or he'll take points.

Quiz & Exam questions are almost exactly like the ones from the HW/lectures. He gives you past exams which you can study from (80% of the exam will be like the past exam) His grading can be pretty harsh if you forget a step. Possible curve at the end? (got an A even though I was sure I got a B)

Be faithful in attendance, pay attention during lecture, do your homework, and I promise you'll be fine. Don Luna is always happy to help you during office hour, and I learned a good deal about Algebra just by following along from his lectures, such that I wished he taught math here at UC De Anza. Physics: "Don't forget to draw a picture!"

An awesome physics professor! Though physics and I are rivals, professor Luna makes it much easier for me to handle. Unlike other physics professors, the terms and language he uses are extremely simple and easy to understand. Quizzes and exams are based on assigned hw problems and practice exams. Btw, he is very strict about being in class on time.

Professor Luna is great! He goes through his lectures pretty quick and there's lots of info but he is thourough and takes time to answer any questions and give additional explanations. The homework is very manageable and he has practice exams online.

Professor Luna was honestly one of the the best professors I have had in de anza. He is very caring and is open to any questions that you may have. He takes his time to go over all of them. Lectures are clear. If you do the homework and read your notes for the test youll do great! 100% would recommend

This is for the lab section of 4A. Took him with 50 b4 and it was ez but now I know he has a very strict and high standard for lab report. Explains well, helpful and caring but he shows no mercy on grading. U need to work well with ur group, actually know what u r doing and follow every single rule in the rubric, no exceptions. Lab final is hard.

Had Luna for 3 qtrs. His lab exams are known to be difficult because they are NOT open note book (unlike other professors) Still as long as you study for the lab final it isnt too hard. Grades leniently. For phys4A4B4C I easily got 90%+ on lab portion of physics. Most laidback prof out of Lana, Newton, Francis and dkson.

in his lab final: There r almost 50 questions and 3 practical labs which you have to finish within 2 hr. No way u can finish it. Each lab class, each lab worth around 20 points. didn't write partner name: -1 point. lab notebook wrong size -5. didn't label XY coordinate -1. he would give u a 0 for late submission(the second after he lock the drawer

His lab final (50% of lab grades) is closed book. closed notes, closed everything!! OTHER prof allows students to refer to lab notebook during lab final (which is a TREMENDOUS help!) But in his lab, you have to memorize everything! such as theories, formulas, and even how to prove an equation. Indeed the most horrible class I have ever taken!

I'll give a negative rating if I can. He OFTEN takes your points off for NO REASON. Don't ever try his 4A IF ENGLISH IS NOT YOUR FIRST LANGUAGE. It's extremely hard to catch his requirements. Hard to expect what's on the quiz. Takes points off on insignificant steps you skip. Gives example exams but doesn't provide good answers with every step.
