not a horrible class. he obviously knows his stuff but seems to have trouble accepting differing opinions. he comes off as rather arrogant and cold, once kicked everyone out because no one was discussing the topic. it was a plus when his son would walk down every aisle showing us is toy pirate ship.

he said, and i quote "poetry shouldn't be taught to anyone under the age of 30" because we aren't capable of understanding it. he's an arrogant man who doesn't want to listen to anyone else's opinion. i only took these 2 classes with him because they were required for my major.

He is definitely one of the best professors I've had. You learn a lot, and his enthusiam helped make the class worth going to early in the morning and helped make me enjoy the lit we read more. Be ware though...he'll challenge you on everything.

Had him for a summer class. Worked my butt off for my A. Best Professor I've had thus far in the English department. Looking forward to taking more of his classes! It's definitely a learning experience. Come prepared to class or you'll wish you had!

Dr. Armstrong is hot. He's intelligent and not afraid to take chances when teaching. If you're expecting a stereotypical old uptight english professor quoting Henry James, then Dr. Armstrong will be a pleasant surprise. He makes poetry ROCK!!!
