Lecture videos are clear but you cant only rely on those. Online HW is time consuming so make sure you know the material before starting, but you can re-do as many times as you want. There is A LOT of material for the final and no review or anything. Dont take if you dont have the self discipline to teach yourself everything from the textbook.

Online lectures were clear, however they really arent on par with in-class. There wasn't much to supplement the videos besides the online HW which are difficult and time consuming. The final was hard and if you aren't good at self-teaching yourself from the textbook and videos I don't suggest you take this course, it can be very easy to fall behind

Not an easy class. I took it online, so heavily relied on his Lecture Videos (covers course material & homework solutions). They can be boring, but he does an exceptionally job at clarifying and contextualizing the more complex topics. I played them on a loop, did the exercises and it paid off in the final exam. Good Luck!!

You have 1 midterm and 1 final. 5050 grade. If you take just the final, its 100% of your grade. Must really know your material in his video lectures. He doesn't curve at all.

This was a good experience with online class, although he does not answer on e-mails right away. He has a good lectures online, which can explain you everything you struggle in. I would recommend him, I would take again if I would have chance.

Taking the Summer Online Course for intro to accounting now. Watch lecture videos and study from course packet. He gives curves and drops the midterm if you do better on the final. I'm not an accounting major so this is the perfect course I was looking for to get an A.

Easy biweekly assignments. No midterm, only a research paper & final. No feedback whatsoever. You are basically on your own. Video lectures are long and boring. On the exam, he gives a lot of computational questions that we didn't practice during the semester that's why many people found it difficult. He doesn't teach properly but asks a lot.

I took the online course, video lectures were sometimes long/boring, but clear. If you pay attention, take notes, do the h.w. etc. it's not bad. The midterm was easy but the final was rough (not an acct major). All in all, he's a very fair grader & does curve (if you're taking the online course don't expect to be emailing back & forth w/ q's)

Disagree with people who say final exam was difficult. Pay attention to the online lectures and the course packet you should be through with an A. Lectures are easy to understand with lots of tips. All the questions for exam were from the online lectures. Well if you haven't gone through the lectures, the exam would be difficult. Highly recommended

Great on-line lectures. If u think final was too hard then u don't deserve to be an accountant. God knows we don't need another crisis in financial world.

The final exam is like a CPA exam, with conceptual questions and computations. The exam was one of the most difficult exams I have ever taken. He said he will focus on the lecture slides on the exam, but the stuff was beyond the lectures for sure. Not an easy A - don't take unless you want to study very-very hard, a lot, and on your own.

Now when you have over 50% of the class failing your midterm exam (even with a MASSIVE curve), that should tell you something about the quality of the teaching of this professor. Mctague does not care about his students. He cares about how his student's performance affects his standing as a professor. Why is the final now 70% of grade? hmmm...

YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN. mctague is not on top of his game with this necessary and fundamental accounting course. he's made multiple MISTAKES already starting with the syllabus and now screwing up everyone's schedule by changing the test date last minute. his teachings are not enough for you to learn and may leave you PASSIONLESS about accounting.

Bottomline: ACCT 2001 NET1A/B: This professor has already started the semester off poorly. He has made mistakes in the syllabus and to top it off he made screwed up the online homework assignments. Lastly, despite his fast replies, his emails are curt and not helpful. He's recycling old online courses and forgetting to update them. Unbelievable
