She didn't use sideshows in this class and voiced her opinion of how she doesn't love having people bring laptops to take notes. So most took handwritten notes and it could be hard to keep up with her and get all the notes you need. We were only marked on an essay, an in class essay and our final. You will use your textbook a lot for this course.

She's a lovely person, but an extremely hard marker. She expects a lot from her students, so it may be difficult to get a good grade in this class. However, I really enjoyed her lectures and thought they were very insightful. She's a great choice for a prof!

Great person, but I dislike her lectures. She speaks to the class and adds her personal opinion here and there, which would be fine if she differentiated. Got lower marks on essays because what I originally thought was fact turned out to be her opinion. TONS of reading in her classes, great for some but not for me. Otherwise, lovely person!

Her lectures are interesting, but she expects a lot from students in their work. Don't take her classes expecting an easy go as some readings will be mandatory for exams. She's a real sweetheart though, and will eagerly give extensions and advice! One of MTA's best!

Naylor is hands down my favorite prof at Mount Allison. She made my decision to major in History that much easier. She is very caring. I highly recommend her to anyone thinking about taking a course in history.

I first had her for my 60's class and thought she was flighty, but she was teaching a new course. Now She is my favorite history teacher. Great Lectures though she like to keep you a few minute late to tie them up. Obviously loves her subject, and is aware of her own biases on a topic

Amazing prof. The best history prof for sure. May be a little flighty but just one of her quirks :) Go to class, read the textbook and you're golden!

Taken two classes with her, one second year and one third year. One of the best profs at this school. Do the work and you'll get an A guaranteed. Go to class, because she effectively goes sooooooo deep into the topics, she spends multiple classes constantly going over them. This means there's no way you WON'T understand the course material.

Wonderful, caring individual! If it wasn't for her, i;d still be boring myself to death, taking European and Canadian history courses. I don't if it's just because American history is much more interesting, or if it's her charm and profound knowledge of materials. She's very unorganized, but sometimes get sidetracked and flustered! 2 Thumbs up.

Dr. Naylor is the best prof at Mount Allison and is the reason that I became interested in American History. Anyone that complains about her is off his or her rocker - she will not put up with idiots-and is good at putting them in their places but if you are a good student that tries no worries!

Loved the class and loved the prof. She may be all over the place sometimes, but you can't help but like her. Lots of emphasis on readings, but she chooses very interesting material. Fair and understanding professor...a fun class to take.

Alot of people think she's a poor prof. This, I feel, is because they don't know how to handle her. She CAN be a trifle unclear in class, but the thing is, she's also one of the most approachable people in the world, always happy to help.

Naylor is completely off her rocker! She doesn't structure her classes well and can't maintain a topic for her discussions. She expects you to learn more from the text then from her, because she doesn't teach. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
