I love french and all....but PHONETICS is BRUTAL!!!! In the begining of the semester she said "don't be surprised if half of you repeat this course again" &she is right! your REALLY NEED TO STUDY! She is helpful but she thinks that phonetics is easy and don't understand why others don't grasp the material as well as she does! HARD HARD HARD

AWESOME prof. Probably the only reeally good french prof at MUN. Very helpful, very clear and very fair! She gives out pre-tests before every test/exam which is the EXACT format of the test, not too many profs would do that!! Loved the course, really nice as well!

By far the best prof I've ever had! Her pre-tests are a good source of doing well on her exams and she was always there when I needed to talk to her about difficulties in the course. I recommend her to anyone doing phonetics....as she says, its her course and she wants students to do well :)

After completing 14 french courses at MUN, i can still safely say she was the best of all the profs. Enough work to really make you learn something, and she's very clear, and a fair marker. I worked with her as a MUCEP student and she is a really nice person.

Best French prof at MUN. Incredibly helpful, she'll sit down with you for hours and help you if you need it. Plus she's very approachable and has an incredible knowledge of linguistics so it's very helpful. Gives out the best notes and always has practice sheets you can do. Sweet lady and an awesome prof. She takes her time to go through the material and she's a very good teacher. According to me, a teacher and a prof are two different things. I must also admit that her tests are hard because of the complicated theory part, but it is University! I recommend her to anyone who actually want to learn. Very hot teacher too! :P

Eliane is the best french prof. She is very nice, approachable, and helpful. I have had her for three french courses so far (french 1501, 2100 and 2300). I would strongly recommend her to anyone.

Wonderfully clear professor with the most beautiful hand-outs and notes that I have ever seen. The assignments are usually pretty closely linked to the hand-outs so hold on to them, and there will be references to things said in class on the tests and assignments, so show up. A really good prof.

Eliane is a very nice person and would do anything to help you. She takes getting used to(thick accent)but once you get past that, you should be okay. She is a fair marker, but the course is disorganized and the tests and assignments are difficult.
