Prof. Moentmann was a great prof. I took her class on study abroad in London. She is super personable and really cares about you. One paper that was rough but only had a week to do it (due to the short term of the program). She grades fairly and was very accessible outside of class

I had such a great time taking Dr. Moentmann's HST 347 class! This class is lecture heavy, but you don't really notice the time since her lectures are always interesting and passionate! She gives you the materials to set you up for success. Her classes are PAPER heavy though! I would highly recommend her to any student (history buff or otherwise).

Dr. Moentmann always has interesting tidbits to make class interesting. She focuses on historical trends and periods, so little rote memorization is required. Lecture material is emphasized on tests; if writing is a weakness you may want to pass, as she assigns multiple short-medium papers. She's very helpful and accessible outside of class too.

I loved Dr. Moentmann's class. I'm not a fan of history (it is notoriously my least favorite subject), but she made it interesting. I loved being a part of her class and I'm glad I actually decided to put up with the length of the class; it definitely paid off in the end because I learned a lot.

She is a great prof! Is very passionate in what she teaches which makes class time enjoyable! I do not like history all that much, but I really enjoyed her modern France class it was very interesting and she didn't expect us to know it inside and out, just what we had talked about and gone over. You won't regret taking her class! :)

She is easily one of the most passionate teachers I have been lucky enough to have. I first took her Modern Western Civ but have since had the pleasure of having her for other classes. She is always willing to meet with you, give honest feedback and have a conversation that is incredibly enjoyable about history. Tough grader but worth taking.

Dr. Moentmann is excited about her subject and is very easy to talk to outside of class. The reading is boring, but the assignments are not difficult and she is an easy grader. Finally, she was very accommodating of my wanting to take the final exam early :)
