Comment:

Lots of homework, especially if you're in 263. Class time is spent by her writing personalized notes on the projector, which she ALWAYS uploads online later.. (still, I wouldn't skip class since she does explain it quite well in class). Her final is cumulative knowledge of the entire semester so beware..

Comment:

Dr. Goode gives plenty of examples to help you learn the concepts. Her exams account for a big chunk of your grade (or maybe that was because I was in a summer class with her), so make sure you do your homework, read the book, and do extra problems outside of homework when studying for exams. She gives out lots of extra credit, so do them!

Comment:

Dr. Goode is really funny and helpful. We had two tests and a final. Calc 2 is hard to begin with and she realizes that. She left us drop one of our low exam grades. She also drops one homework grade and quiz grade. She often hands out 100% on homework's and labs because she gets behind in grading. Super nice, accommodating, would take again.

Homework almost everyday. She'll give you a lot of feedback on your HWs, it will help you do well in exams. Somewhat rude at times. Seems like she gets bothered when you ask questions. Doesn't take attendance, and wont force you to participate. The final looks like all the previous exams into one. You'll need to work for your grade.

Dr. Goode is a good(e) teacher who is always there to help students. She does tend to sometimes struggle with the material herself, but this is her first time teaching calculus 2. Gives alot of homework, exams are tough but nothing too bad. If you review you will be fine. I would take another class with her because of how she is always there tohelp

I thought she was just okay. Sometimes when I would ask for help, she gave off the impression that she didn't want to be there and didn't care. Her tests aren't that bad if you study hard and work through the homework questions. She's a bit strict and I wouldn't recommend going to her office for help.

Literally one of the best math teachers at TU. Engaging lectures, always available several times throughout the week, and works around student schedules. Course is challenging so definitely go to her office hours and ask questions because she's willing to help. Often says jokes which are quite funny. And offers plenty of extra credit opportunities.

Dr. Goode is by far the worst professor I have had at Towson University. DO NOT take her. She does not know what she is talking about, as she often had to stop and think about what she was saying and correct herself because she would feed us wrong information. The only reason I passed this class was because I used the web to teach myself.

Well... This one is a tough review. She's a great lecturer for discrete math, and the course itself was easy. Plenty of homework but it does boost your grade. She does offer extra credit from pointing out the errors in her notes which is cool. Very bizarre personality but always willing to help. I was able to listen to music, one earbud in, no prob

SHE IS NOT BAD. The class is hard in general but I still passed with an A. I didn't go to all classes (do recommend it though) and still got an A. She puts up all her class notes, so if you miss you can still understand what she taught. Test are hard, but not impossible. She grades proofs hard but she has the same format for all of them.

This class was easily the hardest class of my semester and I'm supposed to be majoring in this sort of thing. Be prepared for a lot of homework and difficult tests. This course challenges even the most seasoned math pro but if you take advantage of her office hours and ask the right questions she is always willing to help.

I like her as a person, and amazing teacher and I don't believe she is disorganized at all She is a hard grader!! If you understand things in the first couple of classes I would stay she is good Although if you don't i would run Class only gets tougher after the first chapter

Dr. Goode's tests are very difficult; the class average on the first one was an E. She is always willing to help, all you need to do is setup a meeting with her. Assigns a lot of homework, about 2 hours a night. She is very knowledgeable about Math. Expect a couple smart comments when some questions are asked. Posts all notes online.

She is extremely disorganized, and flat out rude. Tests consist of versions of the hardest problems from the homework, and class averages from the tests were always below 60%. Homework takes hours to complete, is worth next to nothing grade-wise, and is assigned 1-2 times a week. Doesn't use blackboard, so there is no way to know your grade.

Discrete Math is a tough course. That being said, Dr. Goode is in her office almost every day. She was able to help me understand many of the later concepts in the class that were a bit tough to get a hold of during the standard lecture times. She offers extra credit during class if you can correct her mistakes. I would definitely take her again.
