BEWARE. Tangents. Not clear on class lectures and homework criteria. Always talks about slavery, racism, and her times in college. Doesn't follow the syllabus. Says she will post powerpoints online but never does. Always talks about politics and unrelated course material. brags about how long she has been teaching 24/7. interrupts student responses

How can this professor get a bad review?! She was the main reason I found Communications to be so easy. She has speeches that she makes EVERYONE feel comfortable doing and makes the environment very friendly. Super motivating, gets off-topic (trust me, you'll need it), and allows you to present your speech another day. BEST PROFESSOR EVER.

Dr. Jackson is very personable. Her class is too easy, and so are her tests. I think, to her, it's about self development and not actually a grade. I admire her approach to teaching. She also keeps us informed and discuss current events so we can come to our own conclusions applying what we learned in class. I think she's a great professor

Elizabeth Jackson has been, by far, the worst teacher I have ever had in my college experience. Her grading system, or lack thereof, is incredibly confusing, if you prove that she graded something incorrectly on one of your quizzes, she will not care, and she does not discuss any of the midterm material in class, ever. Do NOT take this teacher.

This is the worst teacher I've ever had at Csub. It's suppose to be a history of film class but all she ever talks about is race. If I wanted to take a history of race class I would have signed up for it but I DIDNT! If you have an opinion that differs from her she gets snobby. Seriously, this is the worst class I've ever taken. Save yourself

She is very unorganized and very confusing. It's very hard to get in touch with her outside of class because she only accepts messages via Skype. I WOULD NOT RECOMEND THIS INSTRUCTOR!!

Dr Jackson is vibrant and intelligent. She is unorganized and opinionated, but she also has a lot to give if you are willing to listen to what she's saying. She is my favorite teacher I've ever had and it saddens me that I can't take her for every class.

Please, please whatever you do, donot take her class. She is a horrible lecturer.Quizzes and exam are not relevant to the lectures. This is the worse class I have ever taken in CSUB. 70 percent of the class failed the course it shows her terrible she is. PLEASE stay away from her no matter how smart you are.

Professor blamed technology for her faults. When asked about why she didn't upload the powerpoints to help the class study for the test, professor responded with, "you are all wrong, not me. Sorry technology these days messed it up!" Professor's course was incomprehensible and she constantly complained of being ill-equiped and not ready for class.

This class was the worst class I have taken. Students grade each others paper. Whenever you find something wrong with it she takes one point. If ten people find things wrong then you get a 0 on that paper. The only way to get get points back is by taking points from others. NEVER take her if you can avoid it.

This instuctor is so inconsistant. She has the class grades our work and if the class as a whole see 10 things wrong with your paper you do not get any points for your paper.The assignment is only worth 10 point in itself.She does not clearly explain assignments.The book is also unclear.You are grading other people papers because you lost 10 points

Being that an A- affects GPA, and thus all kinds of grad school attendance and financing options, I was quite shocked to find that even though every grade I got back was an A, save the final, which was an A- (and weighted the same as every other graded section), I was shocked to find an A- as my final grade. This was arbitrary at best. Look out.

She is a good person I guess, but she makes you teach the class. I regretting getting her from the start, but I somehow got an A. Don't be fooled though, I thought a lot of people had great speeches and they got C's. In your speeches, try to make her laugh. That's probably how I got by. Oh and I opened that book three times at most.
