Went to her office hours, she was utterly unhelpful and uninterested. I made numerous attempts to ask her how I could study better and improve my grade, and she could not give any useful advice. I had taken Latin classes before and knew the material, so my grade isn't representative of my knowledge, but rather her essay grading.

I wasn't very interested in her class, but honestly, I'm not big on Roman Civ. She's a good professor, and she tries to be funny (and sometimes, she is), but the lectures can be a little dull.

Amazing prof. Knows her stuff, and makes you as interested in it as she is. Seems unapproachable, but always very helpful if ever you do approach her. Few quizzes (she tells you what's on them), midterm, final and one paper. Attendance/participation mandatory..but worth it. Overall take a class with Eliz if you do or want to love Latin even more.

Went into this class looking for an interesting/easy gen-ed and ended up working harder than I ever anticipated for only B's. This class isn't easy, and be prepared for TONS of notes. Literally reviewed HUNDREDS of slides of information per exam. The material is interesting and Eliz knows her stuff, but don't expect an easy A.

helpful and knowledgeable. her powerpoints were disorganized and she blows through some of the material pretty fast, but is happy to slow down if someone pipes up. Keitel is overall a great teacher.

Roman Civilizations was not an easy class. I went to every lecture and seemed to work very hard for only B's. I took it as a Ge-ed but hadn't anticipated having to work this strenuously. The material isn't terribly dull, however, and prof. Keitel is very knowledgeable and interested in her material.

A fantastic Prom and a great class. I'm quite happy I took the plunge on a non-major honors course. Keitel knows her subject quite well and will describe many of the sites in Italy she has visited. The course starts with the modern disaster narrative of the Titanic and works backwards. The small class size was a big help for me. Discussions
