Comment:

Ramsby is such a sweet person and really cares about students. They class has several textbooks you can get pretty cheap and you need to read from them to participate in class. Attendance isn't mandatory but your participation grade will go down. She has two short essays and two exams and worksheets but you'll pass if you go to class.

Comment:

Short essay question & multiple choice quiz every week based on video lectures & textbook. Midterm/Final questions exact same as quizzes w/short essay question which is helpfully given in advance. Easy A if you do the readings & watch videos. I recommend the supplemental videos which are interesting. Not much feedback, but quick grader and helpful.

Professor Ramsby is the best professor I've ever had. She clearly outlines any assignment you have to complete (which are very few) and all of her lecture slides are online to look back on in case you missed any info. Her exams are easy if you pay attention and take notes in class and she doesn't grade harshly. She's my favorite professor

Comment:

Super sweet and passionate about what she teaches! She engages us all in very in depth discussions and I really enjoyed her class. She is a bit paper-heavy at points but I didn't find any trouble getting stuff done. Very smart, very fun!

She was a really great professor, crystal clear in everything she wanted, a good amount of reading but her exams weren't awful, one presentation and three papers. Go to lecture and take a few notes and you are golden. She's really helpful and enjoyable

Loves what she teaches, which makes for a great teacher. Probably the professor most intellectual about their subject that I've encountered. Listens to everybody and willing to explain everything. Very interested in Rome after taking this class.

Very clear in explanations, accepts opinions, fun to listen to. She makes you want to participate and does not put any pressure on you. Is not biased, very nice. Couple papers and tests and a presentation. Pretty good professor.

Prof. Ramsby is a not only an awesome person, she really seems interested in the subject and helping students learn. Even if you arent really interested in classics, she always finds a way to make it interesting. Papers are fair and so is grading.
