Do not take a class with Ellen!! She is by far the worst prof I've ever had. She is actually mind numbingly stupid and boring. She reads off the slides word for word, and can't answer any questions. Trust me and everyone else that has rated her.. DON'T DO IT

She got transferred to CNC in BC and is the worst prof i've ever had. she doesn't answers yes no questions directly and has a horrible condescending attitude. she reads off her power points and uses other profs exams. teaches 1/3 classes a week other 2/3 are used for class discussion and chapter presentations done by classmates for the entire hour

I thought they fired her... she remains the worst professor at STU hands down and I have taken 4 years here graduating with a degree in Crim. Her character is horrible.. (Ellen, anyone can read off the powerpoint) I could have taught the class, everone probably would have learned more.

Everyone's saying it's not a class for slackers... I don't understand that seeing as I went to probably about 10 classes in her full year course and still got an A. Mind-numbing. Boring. But incredibly easy.

She was great in Seminar! This seems to be her niche. Like most profs, she does seem to have a bias toward things that are close to her heart...everything relates back to queer rights. She's a decenct prof though....at least she was in this class

Very opinionated, unwilling to bend and accept others views. Handed out *contracts* that we were encouraged to sign. Very poor teaching style (She only reads her power point presentation) and her tests are broad, stay away!

A hard marker but a good teacher. All of her good students who she wrote reference letters for last year got scholarships. If you work hard, she'll go to bat for you. Not a class for slackers. I learned alot.

Not a class to take for an easy mark, but definitely a class to actually learn something. Faulkner shows a genuine concern for the progress of her students and is always available to answer questions. I highly rate her as a professor.
