I can't believe anyone could write anything even remotely negatively about Dr. Kanervo. She is a class act, an awesome professor, helpful, and goes out of her way for her students. I would LOVE to take a class with her again!

Dr. Kanervo is a very nice and helpful professor. She tries to offer study groups the day before the tests, so that you can ask her questions. The class at first wasn't very interesting, but I eventually began to enjoy the class. I would take her again.

Do buy the book. It's vital in order to do well on the tests. Assignments are very reasonable and she's full of good stories. Can be tough on grading writing assignments-expects you to perform like "the college student that you are". Take her! You'll learn something and be a bit entertained.

You'll either like her laid-back, Southern accent, or you'll slam your head on the desk in frustration. Highly critical of spelling and grammar in writing, so don't be an idiot...use MS Word's spelling/grammar check. Overall, worthwhile and fair.
