AWESOME prof! Loved his course on war and aggression, even though I didn't do so well. It was incredibly interesting. I hear stories from older friends of mine who had him as a prof in the 80's and they say the same things about him even now. Wicked course, awesome prof, very fascinating and humorous...I give him an A+!

The best. He was able to bring out the best in what I could do as a student. I went from being a b- student to getting a's and a+'s in all of my courses because of Dr. Leyton. I could go on, but you get the picture. Register for his course. Even if you've graduated. Do it for fun, you'll end up a better person

This individual exemplifies what an instructor should be. He is engaging, provokes thought, entertaining, an expert in his field, published, interesting, and he can articulate. Without Layton, the University will not be the same, period.

Dr Leyton is truly a fascinating individual. It's a shame that he is leaving MUN after this semester, but who can blame him with the troubles he's had with MUN this fall :) Dr Leyton's course is one that I've wanted to take for years, & I feel lucky that he came out of retirement to teach this one last time. An awesome course, thoroughly impressed!

Leyton's taught his last class! He is an honest(and arrogant) man. He's obviously very brilliant. Has unrelenting opinions regarding well, everything! He's a really hard marker, you have to EARN your mark in this course. The subject matter can be difficult but he handles it with expertise and humour. Very passionate about his work. He'll be missed.

Brilliant man. Jade-factor: High. A tough & uncompromising grader. A marshmallow heart under a calcite crust. Psych students will find him as fascinating as his classes... which are, by the way, no place for the feint of heart. :)

Despite all you hear, he is wonderful. I gave a presentation in Homicide and was rather nervous, he leaned in, put his hand on my shoulder and said "It's O.K, slow down sweetie, you're doing great" Give him a reason to respect you and he will.

An amazing man, a pioneer, and an incredible mentor. If you can handle pressure, the advanced course on homicide is highly recomended. He was the first in his field, and no one does it better. He is arrogant because in this field you have to be, trust me. He knows what a university course should be.

He's a little arrogant, but has reason to be-He's an amazing prof with an amazing mind. I am in awe of him. The course was the best course I ever did at MUN and he was the best prof. A little intimidating, but a phenomenal prof.

In a way his arrogance is warranted because he's the only one doing the type of research he does. His class is very interesting to say the least, but going to see him for help may be a bit risky. Don't ask stupid questions.

Blown up to be more than he is. Arrogance is no virtue. Talk a lot about himself. Interesting subject matter, but that's where the popularity derives - he's just a regural old, arrogant man with an ego problem.

it is to bad that he spent most of the class time talking about himself. The topics were very intersting and i would have liked to learn more about that then him. and if you are having a bit of troble don't go see he because he will make you feel like crap!!!!

He is really nice. The class certainly doesn't seem as long as it is. He really keeps everyone interested. He is a lil' old school, but pretty kewl overall. Real good story teller too.
