This class could be better, but as a professor he is great. He is very knowledgeable about military history and is a good teacher. He is very clear and if you attend class the exams are easy.

This class sucks! Took it as a breadth requirement and was one of the hardest classes ever. The reading is absolutely insane and the papers are dumb. He expects you to be a history major for this class, when 90% of the class isn't one. Somehow made military history boring and dull.

Very knowledgeable but goes through powerpoints quickly and does not post them anywhere for review, unlike most professors. Requires students to create their own review sheets that are heavily graded and cloud your mind with information not actually needed on the test.

He is about as passionate about history you can get. Had 2 seminars with him and thoroughly enjoyed both. Class is not a breeze and he expects that you put forth effort. Bearing that in mind, he rewards effort and grades very fairly. He often included great movies to enhance the course. Keeps track of your progress during semester. Great professor.

I had Winston Churchill 268 seminar with him and loved it. One of the smartest professors I have had, and he is very enthusiastic about history. Grading is more than fair, but be ready to put effort into the class. It is not an easy A, but if you try, he will know it. I highly recommend taking him for History seminars.

Had Ellis Wasson as a high School history teacher (he teaches AP Euro). You will not find a smarter man, nor a profesor with as much enthusiasim for his topic as he does. Lectures are actually interesting stories that make boring topics relatable and memorable.

European Imperialism expert. Knows more than you ever wanted to know about Britain. Extremely nice and helpful man who thoroughly enjoys the subject, but moreso enjoys giving out pleasing grades. Take to his writing style and you'll do well.

Great professor. Tells the history of Winston Churchill like he's reading a story. Great speaker, lots of reading, but overall EXTREMELY interesting. If you love any kind of history, this is the man to take! Remember to read and go to class!

There is a good amount of reading, but he let's you know what parts you need to focus on. He enjoys someone arguing against his views in class. He's a great teacher and I'd recommend taking his class.
