Can be a stressful class. She explains things one step at a time to not confuse you, but it can be easy to "mess up" if you dont know what your next step is going to be. Grades fairly but attendance policy is strict! Printmaking is obviously her element though and she is always able to answer questions and give her opinion.

Yea every teachr has faves, but theres a diifrence when the prof PLAYS faves, which is what EAD does. She is a part of the clique, apparently, but rest assured you are not. I want to learn how to use print in my art, not worship some false 'print gods' I come away from her class still wanting to print, but with another prof.

I have taken this class countless times and have enjoyed each one. Though my first time in the class was hard. She definitely didn't like me, but I kept with it. Now we talk all the time. You have be able to finess certain situations. She is a ton of fun once she actually lets you in. Yes, there are favorites but what teacher doesn't have them.

Great class as long as you're a one of her favorites. As a whole, I found it much too comprehensive for an introductory class. Unrealistic expectations of students in addition to double standards -she can cancel class twice with no warning and come in 5-10 minutes late everyday but deduct a letter grade for every student's absence.

Never arrive late for her class. Be prepared to invest a lot of money into this class. He package is over $100 + all the paper you'll use during the sem. She seriously picks fav.s. Barely ever in a good mood. Very serious. If you just ignore her, printmaking is an AWESOME class! Oh, you've got to do 12 artist bio.s and an artist's statement.

emily is the best... anyone who disagrees is totally lazy and afraid of being challenged. Granted she makes you work hard for that A, she really stretches you making you a better artist... as for the favorites... yeah, she favors students who are serious about school and who have intentions of bettering their skills.

She's a little outthere sometimes. She expects A LOT from her students. Can be confusing. Does pick favorites. She's kind of quirky, and my personality really clashed with hers. You will learn a lot though, and you get free reign with your ideas. If you can mesh with her personality the class won't be too bad. Just do you work well and GO to class.

Deffenately picks favorites in her classes. She's very abstract(teaches you nothing) and deffenately not a good representation of the art department at UNF. She was very discouraging to me and a lot of other students, and gave me the only C i have received in any of the art classes i have taken. Unless you are a really good suck up, stay away!

hello, people, we're in college here. Emily is one of the best teachers I have ever had, she is the only teacher of her kind at this school. She is so intelligent, and has such an incredible grasp on the art community that it is an inspiration for all of her SERIOUS students.

anyone who bashes this teacher has either a bad attendance policy or acts very immature in her class. If you goclass and don't act a fool and don't act like a high school kid she will give you the respect you deserve. Overall yes her class can be intensive but printmaking is an intensive process.

I liked her. She was good for Drawing I, though she did come across as being a bit too "Kindergarten teacher" and some of the exercises seemed a little pointless. But I guess a lot of important things seem pointless until the skills are learned.

shes annoying because shes so high school. if anyone says anything at all, she almost gives you the feeling she's going to write you up on a refferal for talking. dumb. although the class is really easy if you just try to put up with her idiotic methods.
