Comment:
Professor Arnoys is clearly very smart. He knows his stuff and I think that makes it hard for him to explain somethings to his students on a more basic level. A lot of the class is learning by yourselves through videos or trying to read the massive textbook. He teaches by solving example problems. Beware of quizzes, there is one like every day.

Arnoys is a great prof. He seems to care about his students and their success, and makes himself accessible at regular times by office hours or email. There are daily quizzes, but they aren't a large part of the course grade and they were helpful for learning new concepts. He usually explains concepts clearly and if you are confused he can clarify.

Comment:
I liked Arnoys as a professor, but he was at times unclear or had too high of expectations for what we knew and did not know. Some quizzes had material that the class clearly did not know that were still graded despite this. Its important to read the textbook alongside lectures. He is a good professor, but dont expect the class to be a breeze.

Professor Arnoys was great! Super funny dry humor, and really enthusiastic with his teaching. He did multiple demonstrations during class that applied to what we were learning. If you pay attention in class and do review problems, you'll be fine. I also had him as my lab prof, and he was great there too.

Arnoys is a great choice. He likes to have fun but is also a great prof and easy to understand. He implores students to see him regularly in his office with any questions. He is very supportive and gives great feedback on tests. I switched to him as an advisor because I liked him so much.

Eric is a soft-spoken man with a good sense of humor. Lectures can get long and boring but he will do what he can to make it more fun. You will have to put work in to get a good grade and he is willing to talk to you and help you out in his class.

I liked him a lot as a prof because he sometimes made some good jokes and made connections to many real life circumstances. Tests are similar formats to previous years but he provides old ones to look at. He prepares you well for every test and final but what was crucial is knowing how to do problems like the ones on masteringchemistry-harder ones

Lectures could sometimes be dull and boring, but he would often crack a joke or two, making them more bearable. Went into the final with a low grade, but with the curve I cam out just fine. I would recommend this professor.

Good prof. He sometimes talks over your head so just be sure to ask questions if what he says isn't clear. He tests aren't too bad but he does clicker questions in class so you have to be there every day. He's kind of funny too,

Arnoys is a pretty good professor and a nice guy all around. He always wants his students to do well and goes out of his way to talk to and discuss any problems students may have. His lectures are all over the place, but he'll always answer any questions you have. His tests are a little difficult, but if I got through the class, so can you.

He's a good teacher but extremely scatterbrained. He mumbles a lot too and it can be difficult to understand him. If you need help, however, he's more than willing.

Tough material, but he is on your side. He is sensitive to the progress of the class but doesn't let you take advantage of him. Really funny-class is fun. Clear expectations. It's a lot of work to do well, but expectations, feedback, and direction are clear and frequent. Protein of the Year and journal club are fun and useful. Take this class!

He is professional and helpful to all students in this class, as far as I can tell. Very good professor. Very knowledgeable, and available for help outside of class.

Great guy. Chem 103 is a harder class and he is by far the best teacher. All my other friends had problems with their teachers...but not me. We had little homework and his tests were only slightly tricky

Pretty sarcastic and laid back, which is nice, but you gain nothing by going to lecture. He shows you a bunch of graphs and pictures in a powerpoint that you can (for the most part) get from the book. He doesn't do a good job of preparing you for his pretty difficult tests.
