this is a tough course so don't think for one second you are going to do super well because the prof is so funny and easy going. you will be fine in this course if you memorize and understand all the powerpoint slides and do some practice tests. if you just go to class and do nothing more than the my econ labs you will not do well.

i actually miss having my friends meet me once a week for another episode of "an afternoon economics class with kam". it was the most relaxing lecture ever. short. to the point. funny. you learned a lot and even started to like a topic that you will never use in the real world.

I never had a problem going to his lectures, he is a great guy and super funny. But, Econ is not easy what so ever. You would have fun in class & then when it came to the online quizzes and finals it was super difficult to know what's going on. If you can find the balance to actually grasp the concepts while having fun in class take his class!

kam is a nice guy who definitely likes teaching more than your average professor in first year. he is crazy complete and gives the class everything you need to do well. the tests are harder than you'd expect. do the practice tests, learn the ppslides, and don't be afraid to ask questions. he will do anything to help you.

the total gold standard in terms of what a lecturer should be like. the class is not 180 minutes of rambling on about nothing. the class is part economics, part real life, part personal stories, part asking us about our lives and completely interesting. people say they don't like his stories should sit in a class for 180 minutes of lecture.

Eric Kam is a hilarious & super nice, caring guy. Took him for first year ECN104 and will be taking him again for ECN204 next semester! although he tends to burn about half of the lecture talking about things not relevant to the course, when he is actually teaching course material he is very knowledgeable & makes sure you get it. Exams are easy too.

except for the 100% multiple choice questions on the myeconlab assignments and the tests, i have no complaint with this instructor. lectures are intense but short. he is very student friendly and just wants us to learn the material because he thinks it really matters.

this really makes me mad to read people putting nasty comments because they want others to switch out. it will give people who don't know what's going on the wrong idea. prof. kam is amazing and nobody in all of my first year courses teaches better. i feel super lucky to have him and i will pay for a spot in 204 if i don't get one.

Honestly I'm not a business student so this is my first ever business class, and this prof really makes me relieved I'm not in business. He knows what he is talking about however doesn't teach it well, reading the textbook is more helpful then going to his class.

he sure likes the sound of his own voice but he does keep the class hopping. he pauses to ask for questions a lot. the change between content and non content can be distracting. he loves to teach so much you almost feel bad telling him you econ sucks and could care less about the content. don't slack off - the tests are worth a lot.

a great class. it is a very traditional course taught in a traditional way. it's lecture heavy, assignment heavy, light on tests. weekly online tests. 2 tests per term. the lectures are pretty funny. i hope i can get kam for macro.

he's a good instructor who gives you every chance to succeed in his course. the tests are hard. the assignments are easy and online. the grading scheme goes up and down to help you depending on what you do well and reduces the mess of the things you mess up. he's funny and seems to care about students.

this professor is a gem of a teacher and a person. one day i told him after class i could not write the midterm because my moms was having an operation and he let me do the test a week later. no questions asked. he then emailed to find out how she was after the operation. all my profs were told and he was the only one.
