Comment:
494 is very beneficial to honor thesis by having more time to increase the quality of honor thesis. The two semesters of honor thesis give you more advantage when you are compared to other universities' students, especially when you apply external award for your paper to impress grad school. Steeve provided consistent feedback throughout semesters.

I really like Steeve's style. He is really a nice person to get along with, and available even outside announced office hours. He doesn't seem to have strict rules, at least in this course -- he understands and trusts students. The down side is his notes are a bit messy, you may want to use his office hour to ask him if anything is not clear.

Steeve is SUPER smart so sometimes you might be lost during his lectures, but he is extremely willing to help outside classes. Final was challenging but I like the originality of his questions. Really representative of the difficulty of masters coursework.

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS UNLESS YOU LOVE ALGEBRAIC MATH NOTES! He does no numerical examples in class, just messy chicken scratch algebraic math notes. 90% of my notes make no sense to me. Textbook sucks too. Overall terrible class! Dreading the 70% Final

Best econ prof I've ever had. He designed the course well so that it's interesting and insightful and would motivate students into looking at these fields/topics in the future by themselves. His markings r fair (based on understanding). he's down to earth and friendly that makes even shy students like me feel comfortable in asking questions.

Really Good Professor. Very straight forward. Exams were very fair, if the average is low the marks get inflated at the end. Awesome prof, take 103 with him.

His exams arn't ridiculously difficult. They make you think but I admit you do need some luck. Course is bellcurved. To do well you actually have to understand and hope a bit of luck is on your side. I got an A hope you can too.

this prof is beneath avg. His tests are hard, and not reflective of what he tells u to study, espicially the labs.Midterms had 25 multiple choice questions worth 4 marks each, all or nothing. Final exam had 5 T/F worth 8 points and had to write ur reasoning--HARD. But scales the exams a lot depending on class avg. Prof is French, wid POOR English.

he doesn't really have good structured lecture notes, usually all over the place, but he's very helpful during o/h's. m/t and final were on the hard side, but i think he's a pretty easy marker. and he marks on a curve too...so that helps a bit.
