VERY laid back. Known to forget to administer exams. Incredibly approachable. In reference to the capstone/fieldwork course: REALLY NEED to scout property on foot IMMEDIATELY Integrate/shorten the intro/methodology Most everything is determined by the students as a group. More initiative/guidance would be great.

He truly understands the content that he is teaching and is passionate about it. He is very approachable and gives useful lecture presentations. You must read the chapters that he assigns if you want to be successful. The only negative is that he tends to ramble in lab and does not return a large bulk of your assignments, or returns them late.

Comment:

My favorite professor, ever. He is enthusiastic, thought provoking, and (an oddity in the sciences) he cares about the teaching part of his job. He mixes traditional and experimental teaching and assessment methods, which keeps the course interesting and judges more than pure mental regurgitation. It would be a mistake to miss out on his courses.

He knows his material but his exams even though all multiple choice are very hard and DO NOT take his lab sections. He never handed anything back and never gave due dates. I ended up with a D in his class and I emailed him and he sent me back the grade distributions of the class..over half of the class got a C or lower. HE SUCKS and DOES NOT CURV

Very nice guy. He takes awhile to return work to you. Work is hard in uper level classes but you'll learn in this class if you pay attention in lecture and keep up with text reading you should have no problems.

Dr. Kindahl is very nice and helpful. He takes FOREVER getting your work back to you, though. Aside from that, he's a wonderful professor. I have NEVER encountered any unfair grading from him. He has always been there to help me with any problems I have had, even in classes that are not his. Great, great guy.

By far the worst professor I have encountered at Hood. Watch out-his grading is NOT fair across all students. He looks down on you if you don't share his opinions on vegan diets, and turning the west back into one big prairie; he's rude to students too!
