Dr. K (Coach K) can be caught up with his real-life application of the material to the point where we cannot really understand the basics of the calculus concepts. He did, however, make every effort possible to help us. His exams are really difficult since he tends to test you on your understanding of the concepts through real-life scenarios.

Dr. K is caring and always there to help you throughout the semester. He made a very difficult class a little bit better by being understanding and encouraging and answering every question, however stupid. He does tend to cut into class time to talk about research and fields where concepts are applied, so expect to read the book a lot.

Dr. Kostelich is a highly intelligent, caring man. He is focused on explaining the theory behind the concepts, however, and rarely shows the tricks behind problems. I am smart and above average at math, and this is by far the hardest class I have ever taken in my life. Make sure you have the time and will power to put in the work.

Differential equations is a tough class, no matter who you take. This professor tries to make everything seem easier. He understands how hard this class is and is willing to help with anything. Has a nice sense of humor and loves what he teaches.

Coach K is without a doubt the best professor I've had! His lectures are super interesting, he genuinely wants you to do well, and is very flexible and approachable. Tests are decent (allowed a note sheet for each), homework and labs are quick and easy. Honestly just a fun guy to listen to. Would take again in a heartbeat!

Great teacher. He is good at answering questions. He is flexible with all due dates for students that demonstrate hard work. Homework is short for a Diff Q class. Notes are clear. Lectures are crisp. Tests are pretty easy and on top of that there is a generous curve. However, you will need to teach yourself some stuff. Thats the cost. He is good

Topic of course was math and cancer. Very kind teacher, wants you to do well and is willing to work with you and your schedule. Only graded on 2 homework assignments, a few challenging mat lab projects, a short midterm and final is a group presentation. Good class, good teacher.

Unlike most professors, he actually cares about how his students are doing and how they feel about the subject manner. Every lecture he asks at least once if everyone understands and if he needs to go over stuff again. The tests are easier than expected, there are a few take home quizzes that aren't bad, and he doesn't use the text book.

Eric is a pretty good teacher. He tends to jump around during the lectures and doesn't have them available before class so you can't really print them out and take notes in the margins. He is good at answering questions and he stops if people are confused. The homework and tests are about average. Cheat sheet makes it easier. Lots of stories too.

Eric is great. He has a blend of 80% concepts and 20% examples so you will need to really study and know the homework to be able to solve problems. He likes to review the previous day's material before every lectures which is great for helping everyone stay on track. He is great at supporting students. Stress free class. Tons of encouragement.

He's a great teacher and more importantly a great mentor. He is very knowledgeable about how to decide what classes to take and he can recommend a number of programs to get involved with. This class was a bit more difficult than calc 2, but even if this is a relatively difficult class I recommend taking it with Dr K.

Prof. Kostelich is really incredible. He genuinely cares about his students and their learning. He's flexible with homework deadlines, since they're there for you to learn and not feel burdened. Very creative and advocates doing things with as little work as possible. You'll grow a lot mathematically with him. 100% recommend.

Kostelich is a fantastic professor who is always available and willing to help students whenever. That being said, this class is extremely difficult unless you've already taken some sort of introductory class to differential equations, especially since basic concepts are brushed over and applications is the main focus of the class.

Dr. Kostelich is an excellent professor and lecturer. He really cares about his students, and more than anything he wants to make sure that we have a good grasp of the material. He is always available after class and he's super helpful in general. The tests are not too bad - as long as you go to class and do the homework, you'll do well.

Comment:
Although he is very enthusiastic about the subject, it is very hard to understand him. We never really did any practice problems, and the textbook we used was very unhelpful. Overall, avoid his class unless you have a really solid understanding of math. For those who aren't good at analytic math, this class will be very tough.
