I had three years of physics with him and really enjoyed it. There were times in the upper level stuff where he would get lost, but it's understandable since he rarely teaches these courses. Easier than Mike, but still a tough grader.

All I have to say is this: Never come late to class-EVER Work hard on everything. He's a really tough grader. He's very friendly as long as you don't irritate him, in which case I advise you make a run for it. Altogether, he's a fun professor that just grades really hard.

Eric is a nice guy who wants his students to be healthy and do well. However, he does not remember names and even though he tries to help, he isn't that helpful bc he doesn't see why reading the book doesn't make perfect sense. If you are not gifted in physics/math take it somewhere else.

if your taking physics for the first time be prepared to work your butt off on your own. he goes through topics pretty fast and assumes that the reading made perfect sense to you. not super approachable but if you ask him a specific question he will help you until you understand it.

Eric is actually a genuinely nice person, although it usually takes some time to see this. He likes to see his students do well, and does his best to do so. I personally enjoyed his class. Not to forget that he is very funny and eccentric.

Eric definitely knows what he's talking about even though it might be a little hard to get used to his teaching style at first. Make sure you read the book examples and go over your notes from class. Eric is easy to talk to and likes to see his students do well. He is a great professor even if it takes awhile for most of his students to see this.

Physics is hard! Eric is probably one of the most underrated professors at SR. He knows his stuff, is a good teacher, and cares that you get a THOROUGH understanding of the subject matter. Yes he is eccentric, but this is SR. Also does pretty awesome research.

Eric is very nice sometimes eccentric. Sometimes he can be unclear. He forgets students' names easily; he even forgot some of his advisee's names. However, he is a good teacher and its easy to ask him for help. He is always willing to give thorough answers to your questions.
