Sam is an incredibly engaging, humorous teacher who can render comprehensible the most technical of epistemology writings and allows free-form discussion all day every day. I think it's a pity he's academic dean now because he will be teaching way fewer classes :(

Sam is a wonderful guy! He's laid-back, expects no more of us than he does of himself, and gets drawn into the discussions with us. He explains the readings clearly and is also very funny. This is my absolute favorite class and I will take as many courses with him as I can in the future.
