THE BEST PROFESSOR EVER! I had Professor Narveson my first semester of college and he really set the bar for my other professors. Even though the class is long, I always looked forward to going to class. Hes SUPER funny. Everything you learn you will use in your life. You would have to be really stupid to fail this class.

Hecka funny professor. Assignments are easy peasy and doesn't require a lot of thinking. The midterm is on the fallacies we learned in class and you don't really have to study for it as long as you have done the 3 hw exercises for it. he lets you negotiate on due dates for papers. and he makes you into a skeptic!

Narveson was straightforward on what he expected from the students at the beginning of the semester. Hw assignments are manageable and we get to negotiate on some hw assignments' due dates too. He is also very approachable in class and responds to email in a timely manner. Very funny and laid back. Doesn't feel much of a history class.

Professor Narveson is the best!! Some professors at SJSU need to take notes from him!! VERY engaging and can teach this class extremely well! And he always lets us out early, which is always a PLUS! :)

One of the best teachers at SJSU. Even though he taught the class a lot of times already, he continues to ask for student's feedback to improve his teaching. Not a typical boring history class, this class was interesting. Especially the campus tour, I learned a lot from that tour out of the years I've been to SJSU. Would recommend him.

This was a fun class. I definitely recommend him to all of my friends. It's an easy class but I learned a lot, which is really what all classes should do! He really knows his stuff and clearly has a passion for what he does. One of the best GE classes I've had.

Loved this class! It was a super easy GE classes. The homework was easy to do, and the midterm was not too bad if you remembered all the fallacies. There were 2 essays and a take home final for the class. Take this class if you want to actually enjoy a class. You will not be disappointed! (And yes you do get out early!)

Funny! Hella Funny. This class was awesome. its wierd because I always ended up forgetting everything learned from ge classes except this one. he knows that its just ge and so doesn't make life hard on students. he has great real life examples of fallacies which really help you understand things better. oh yeah..couldn't stop laughing at his jokes

Prof. Narveson is a great teacher I took him over winter session and the class just flew by. He's really funny and the class is really easy. He tells exactly what's going to be on the midterm and the final. If you're not happy with the score he gave you on your midterm, you can present your case and win some points. If you're having trouble, he will help you out. I really recommend you take him.

Seriously my favorite teacher of all time. The guy is nuts, but in a good way. Really funny, swears a lot, we watch fun videos, and his in class activities are pretty cool too. I would take him over again if I could. Rarely gives out homework, but when he does, even that is kinda fun. Believe me, you won't regret taking this one.

One of my favorite SJSU teachers! He actually cares about getting you through your GE courses with decent grades. His lectures are filled with jokes and political humor and the midterm and final are directly based on his lectures. Book is dirt cheap and has everything you need to pass with an A or B.

He's a cool guy. His humor is kinda dry haha but he's overall pretty nice. He doesn't really care about late work. As long as you turn it in before the final, he'll grade it. I got a B in this class only because I messed up on the midterm. It's easy if you do all your work. Class is really boring if you have him once a week.

One of the best professors I had had in SJSU. Hilarious, Blunt, Realistic and understanding...its a one day a week class but I loved goin to his class every week, he makes you understandin the class without making it complicated. You'll regret it if you don't take this course with him. I TOTALLY recommend this guy to anyone!!
