Very easy grader compared to any other calc prof. He gives out practice tests that are EXACTLY like the actual test except with different numbers. Quiz everyday, but they're all easy A's.. he will help you on the quiz! Just ask!! TONS of EC opportunities and his class averages are usually above 85%. Just do your part as a student to get an A.

Professor Ron is amazing. I took his 116,121 class in one semester. As long as you show up and study the practice test you should get an A.

Prof Sandvick is great if you're decent at math, if you're really struggling you might wanna look elsewhere. super easy grader, only 60% of HW is required the rest is EC, you can opt out of the final if your cool with your grade, quizzes everyday that are done together so you always get 100%. He does skip basic algebra steps that you should know.

Quiz everyday that you can basically do as a whole class, I liked how he structures his class, pre tests are given that are pretty helpful- basically a mini version of the test, but i can tell he isnt able to get through to a lot of students. He almost teaches as if we all already know the material and will rarely dumb it down when needed.

Quiz every class. He will just give one example and after give you a quiz. I honestly felt more pressured to shove everything in my head then actually take my time to understand it. Some people do like his class and can easily grasp his lectures but for someone like me who needs time to process and understand the concepts, it can be challenging

Nice guy, but not really a good instructor. I would not recommend unless you are already familiar with the concepts. HW is about 500+ problems, you only have to complete 60% for full credit. Daily group quizzes. Class lecture is whoever shouts out the answer first then class moves on without explanation. Admitted in class he hates writing out steps

Come to class on time, take notes, and you will pass. He drops the lowest test grade and quiz grade. There's a quiz everyday and you can work with the people around you. You only do 60% of the HW, the rest is extra credit. Don't buy the textbook, you only need the online code. Don't be shy to ask questions! He's always happy to help students.

Professor Sandvick is genuinely a nice teacher, he provides a lot of opportunities to students to succeed, However, to put it bluntly, he doesn't teach well, his writing and notes on the board are very confusing and are hard to follow up, basically, I learned everything by myself from the textbook. The average of my class was unusually high, 94%.

Great class, easy A. Wouldn't recommend skipping class often because the material can be confusing if it isn't explained properly.

Ron is the best math teacher I've ever had, by far. He is clearly passionate about his job and students. The math is extremely difficult, but he does a really good job if explaining it. He also makes it easy to pass. There is lots of extra credit. Also, there is lots of homework and the tests are pretty easy. Overall, an awesome teacher:)

Professor Sandvick is older but he is very nice and explains material well. He is always offering extra credit. His exams are super clear. He recently got happily married ! I got help from his wife right before my exam one day and I got a B! She is very sweet and volunteers at the DSPS tutoring center on and off. Congrats Prof!!

Easily the BEST math teacher I've ever had. He's funny, approachable, and kind. I took his 8 week class and I was pretty nervous because I hadn't taken math in a while but, he made grasping new concepts very easy and I loved his class. I am taking his math121 now and never thought I'd be able to understand calculus... I was wrong! TAKE THIS CLASS.

I was really worried about taking this class since I am not a math person and it was a summer class but he makes it easy for you to do well! He gives you a pretest that is a lot like the exam so there are no surprises. If you are not a math person take him because he makes it fun!

A serious gentleman when it comes to teaching math. I just completed Math 122 with him and while the material is challenging I managed to master it. Math can be pretty interesting once you get the hang of it and Professor Sandvick is your ally.

Prof Ron is amazing! I took calc 121 twice b/c math isn't my best subject, so I was worried for 122 especially since I took the 6 week summer course. I have aced every test and quizzes are in class and everyone gets 100%. He is great at explaining the material and the pretest is like the test. He's so kind and easy going and helpful. Take him!!

His lectures were understandable, which were helpful. He also drops the lower score in one test and quiz. Make sure to pay attention to the material he presents throughout class. Take efficient notes, because problems he does during class are similar to the questions in the exams. Other than that, he's a cool guy that likes to run and play guitar.
