Eric is one of the best profs and humans ever. He presents, in the least biased way he can, a number of views and is genuinely interested in his students lives. He is a sweet, caring man, a great lecturer, and is an excellent facilitator of learning. 10/10 would go back to undergrad to take him again.

Eric is a great prof for Encountering the Bible. He remained unbiased when talking about controversial topics and I found the class interesting and engaging. The tests (only 2) are based solely on his notes and not the reading, so write exactly what he says and study and you will do well. There was no final exam for his class.

Eric Seibert is one of the greatest profs I have ever met. He is very kind and calming. He is also willing to help in any way he can. His classes are interesting and he keeps the students interested. He also does not push his opinion or views on any of his students. He leaves time in class to hear students' opinions. I would take him again!

Ok... very unaccomadating when it comes to disability. Grading it really off on 2 tests(each worth 100 points) Quizzes(each worth 5 points) and Papers(worth 10 points). Quizzes and papers won't help you if you are not a test person. So if you like tests with some random stuff in it be my guest and take the class. Also lectures are a drab Have fun.

One of the kindest professor's I've ever encountered. Bible with Seibert was a joy, he is so helpful and you learn A LOT. Thought his tests can be tricky, if you study you'll do fine. I definitely recommend taking Encountering the Bible with him!

Dr. Seibert genuinely cares for his students. He facilitates conversation in class very well and you will learn so much in this class. It is spiritually and academically challenging but definitely worth taking! Just because he is nice doesn't mean his tests are easy. Study!!!

Eric (Yes, he asks that his students call him that. Because he is awesome.) is the most genuine professor I've ever had the extreme pleasure of studying under. He is calm, reassuring, and a spiritual leader who genuinely cares what his students think about each subject he brings up in class. His calming demeanor makes tough concepts easy to handle.

Great professor! Uses diverse teaching tools (discussion, video, chalkboard notes, stories etc.). Really easy to follow and open to everyone's thoughts and questions. Very calming personality, which is good because he presents ideas without ruffling feathers. I've learned a lot in his class!

He was an excellent prof for this class. Very clear and organized, but also interesting. Was not too biased or opinionated, which is very important for a religion class. A little challenging, but not too bad overall! Take him if you can!

Eric is a wonderful professor. He is very compassionate and demonstrates great concern for his students. He listens to everyone's viewpoint, without dominating with his own. I had him two years ago, and I still keep in touch with him, and he makes a point to get back to me quickly with genuine responses. Highly recommend!

The material wasn't always the most interesting but he explained things very well. He let you debate about different viewpoints and didn't force his own beliefs on you and didn't force everything that the textbook says into your head as true

Eric was my favorite teacher this semester :) I love how he leaves room for debate. The class itself is extremely controversial, but he never shoves what the textbook says down your throat. I definitely recommend him for Encountering the Bible!

I love Dr. Seibert. I expected this class to be a really boring Gen Ed but I ended up enjoying it. He raises good questions and presents options for answering them without forcing any ideas on anyone. His quiet demeanor is perfect for a class where potentially volatile subjects are raised. I highly recommend him.

Excellent professor. Before taking this class I expected the worst based on what I heard other people say about this class with other professors, but Seibert made it understandable and fascinating. Presents points objectively and clearly. Tests are relatively easy if you study the notes he tells you. The only drawback - his trick question quizzes.

Dr. Seibert is an awesome teacher. He expects a fair amount of reading and writing, but is far from unreasonable. He does expect you to actually know that material, but he is not hard. If you study for the tests, you will do fine. He is one of the only Bible professors who does not shove a liberal biblical view down your throat.
