Tests are very difficult. Class average only got above 70 once. 40% of your score comes from labs which is huge for his class. He says you can leave class whenever you want but when you do he makes you look like a jackass.

Doughty is the best teacher I've had at EWU so far. Friendly, funny, engaging. He spends time during lecture asking questions and involving students. He can seem condescending if you are trying, because he actually cares about the students. If you respect him, he'll respect you. All around an awesome teacher, and a fun class.

Doughtys tests are difficult, however the labs are easy to get good scores on if you spend the time. The labs are worth 40% of the grade and he gives extra credit and curves. So despite what some dumb people say its a pretty good class.

This class was so awful! For one thing, his tests have absolutely nothing to do with what he rambles on about in class. The average on all his tests in my class were never higher than 70%! Kinda tells you something about the prof doesnt it? AVOID!!!

Doughty is a very boring teacher who makes the class feel like it is twice as long as it really is. It is hard to understand what many of the questions ask on the tests because the way he states them is complicated. If you take Geo 100 do not take it from Doughty, it is not with the headache.

He is soooooooooooooo boring!!!!!! He lectures right out of the book, and his tests have absolutely nothing to do with what he lectures about! The study sessions are very helpful, so try to make it to them as much as possible.

He is a moron! No-one should need to go to a study group to learn what he should have taught you in the first place. He gives E.C. because he knows he sucks. The only reason he is still teaching is because he brings lots of money to the school. That should be his only job.
