He's the best teacher. I don't know what these other people mean by "he doesn't know a good story"--he never criticizes your work, only writes in suggestions. Criticism is a necessary part of any art form. He can get boring, but he's the nicest guy and his assignments can be fun. I chose him to be my advisor, too. I'd definitely recomend him.

The ratings are deceptive. He is a good guy, and clear about what he wants. THe class itself is easy. The grading system is so ***** up however you have no idea. The class is basically worth 100 points, 50 for a portfolio due at the end of the year, and 50 for other stuff like attendance. Better do flawless on everything folks, that's all I can say

Eric is a great person. He knows his subject matter and tries to include all students in the class discussion. He may seem quiet, but I see him as more of a pensive person who takes the time to process student commentary in order to make an educated response. He has been very supportive and helpful.

REALLY like this guy. Awesome professor, awesome writer. Doesn't stress you out like the rest of the creative writing professors, because he doesn't give you so much to do. Take him!
