Okay here's the rundown he's not an easy proffesor by any strectch of the imagination, He is like Socrates in modern day culture and clint eastwod from Gran Torino. His outlook on life can be comical at times but he s very hard to talk as far as class material. He is passionate about the books and class but he doesnt take crap from anybody beware!!

I loved this class; I learned a wealth of useful knowledge, not just information. He is very into the discussions, and loves what he does; this made me appreciate it that much more. be prepared to work, but more importantly to learn.

Be prepared to learn nothing about Hum that is not in the 3 epics (Iliad, Gilgamesh and Aeneid) that his class is based on. Hardly an intro level course at all. You never go over the textbook. Work in groups ALL the time. Has unrealistic expectations of students taking an intro course. If you are an hum major or like it, this is the prof for you.

This dude is out of his mind! Be prepared to work like a graduate student in a 200 level class. He requires you to have study groups and read the material like it's the Bible. The only good thing is the mid-term is with a group and the final is optional. the only other grades are your paper rough draft and final copy.

Probably one of the best teachers in the Humanities courses, has a deep interest in the material and also in facilitating learning. Most people are slackers and looking for an easy "A", and most of those same people will drop. Definately an easy course if you read.

HORRIBLE prof. Very arrogant, thinks he is better than everyone else. Ridiculously difficult for a core class, or any class for that matter. Not fair in grading. Judges students. Save yourself the agony and DO NOT take humanities with this prof!

I'm just past the middle of this class... I did well on the midterm, however... he is EXTREMELY hard!! If you aren't wanting to type atleast a 7 page research paper don't take this professor. He isn't clear on assigments, he is very intimidating. If you are looking for an easy A, this is not the place.

He is crazy. He makes us keep a notebook with a list of "maturity traits" in it!! He never gets off of his soapbox about some things, like maturity, the difference between a "student" and "enrollee" and plenty of other things. There is a short answer quiz every week, but you get to take it with a group. Do yourself a favor and do not take him.

HES COMPLETLY RUDE AND UNHELPFUL.IVE ALWAYS HAD GOOD GRADES, I WAS ACCEPTED INTO THE DENTAL PROGRAM, AND HAD HUMM 2 BEFORE TAKING THIS CLASS IN WHICH I GOT A "A" IN. He is one of the best teachers I have ever taken at USI. He is very passionate about what he teaches, therefore you learn A LOT. I can't believe I still remember things from that class 2 summers ago. I recommend taking it as a summer class. Lots of reading but went by fast and actually kind of fun!
