Comment:

Trump is by far the best professor I've ever had. His classes are always a challenge and usually has three major papers. His classes is no cake walk, but you always end up learning a lot. Homework is bits and pieces of the papers required so if you do your homework, you wrote a good chunk of your paper and just need to connect it all.

In my opinion, I think Dr. trump is one of the best professor at SVSU. He is a very nice guy, we don't have any exam but some reading homework and papers. Since I am an international student, Dr. Trump make his paper grading easier for me, so I have less stress when writing my paper. I will 100 % suggest this professor

Dr. Trump is an awesome professor. I didn't do any of the required reading but really did well on take-home tests (3) so I passed. The class itself was awful, I would not take it but if Erik was teaching it I would consider. He is very approachable and clear about what he wants, 10/10 guy.

Trump is a nice guy and a great prof but be prepared for very involved homework. Take home tests are great until they take literal days to complete. Unless your a PS major, I'd take someone else. No clue how I came out with an A.

I loved Erik Trump as a professor, I even had him for an 8:30am class. He was very interesting and passionate about his teaching, I enjoyed the class so much more because of his enthusiasm. Be prepared to write but he'll help you as much as possible, and always available during his office hours. I would definitely recommend him to anyone!

Great professor. Had the ability to carry out a specific objective throughout the entire semester. He is one of those professors that will encourage you to fine something you're passionate about and research it thoroughly. Great, great, great class led by a great, great, great professor.

Took his class last Winter. The nicest and happiest professor I've ever taken. His lectures are really clear but you'll want to read the book as well. Papers are easy, in class work is easy. There are a lot of group discussions so make sure you don't sit by idiots. One of my favorite Poli Sci professors by far.

Erik is an all-around very nice person. Class is interesting, and he diligently stimulates discussion. Be prepared to write, however, as this is a communication intensive course. Bottom line: He loves to teach and really cares about his students. I highly recommend taking him.

Erik Trump is by far the best professor that I've had at SVSU. His lectures are always interesting and he always has a smile on his face. He's enthusiastic and is very helpful when you have questions. If you need to take a political science class, definitely take it with him!

The class itself was a real struggle for me because the material wasn't interesting in my perspective, but Prof. Trump is a really nice guy. He really challenges you but if you come to class and take good notes they really help with the papers and test. I would recommend the prof. but avoid this particular class if you can.

Wrote five papers in the class. Each class period was used to learn how to write each paper. Felt more like an English course than PS course. Very helpful. He let's you know exactly what he wants in papers. I became a better writer because of this course. Highly recommended professor.

Dr. Trump is a really helpful professor. There were 5 papers that ranged from 1000 words to 2000 but that was all there was to do. Every class was spent learning writing styles, grammar, and formatting. Trump will look at your papers and tell you exactly what you need to do to fix them. He grades fairly. I really recommend Dr. Trump.

Dr Trump is an amazing teacher. His assignments actually were relevant to the class. His tests were hard but he grades fair and you learn a lot from him. Makes me almost wish I was a PS major! You will learn a lot from his lectures and personal stories. You will not be disappointed.

This class really is interesting, not easy to say for a 8am spring class! He makes the class fun and thought provoking. If you pay attention and do the essays it will be easy to do well on his take home tests. I plan to take him again. I actually learned a lot in this class and he is willing to help out if you are having trouble.

Comment:

I recommend him to my friends. A great guy, in and out of class. Discussions were stimulating and regular. A lot of homework, but worthwhile. Utilizes many kinds of media. Takes an interest in if the student is learning the material or not. Can be a bit tricky with the biggest assignments, but if you do the work, he knows and grades accordingly.
