It's been said a million times before but I will say it one more time. DO NOT TAKE ERNA KELLY. This is my fifth year at UWEC and I have never had a more awful professor EVER. She doesn't respect the work you do on anything. She's vague, rude, condescending, and has the most ridiculous God complex I have ever seen. Stay away from this prof!

I have never taken a class that I hate as much as this one. She is very rude and condescending. She shows up late to EVERY class, but if you aren't there or go to the bathroom during class she throws a hissy fit. Her syllabus is EXTREMELY unclear and she doesn't have any rubrics or scoring guides so don't even TRY to ask her for a justification.

I hated Dr. Kelly. She would ask us to talk about something, and then she would tell us we're wrong, and then say the same exact thing we just said. She even tried to correct me on something that is in a major interest area of mine... my religion. She also doesn't understand the withdrawal process... so I failed as opposed to withdrawing. Grrr!

Always late, and always rude. She picks maybe 2 or 3 favorites, and it's clear that if you aren't one of them, good luck getting a decent grade. She's mean and condescending. Made the class absolutely miserable and barely helped with anything. Most of what she talked about wasn't about Shakespeare or wasn't helpful about what we were working on.

This professor was late to class every single class period for the last 3 weeks of the class, sometimes by as much as 15 minutes. We missed an entire period of class due to her tardiness just in the last 6 classes! Essay exams were long and no help was given prior to the exams. She is an awful professor, and I don't recommend taking her course.

I love Shakespeare, she does not teach him or his works well. She never looks at the students when she lectures, she always looks at the ceiling. She glanes through the essays you write and grades unfairly. She has an obsession with Margaret Cavendish and made an essay about her worth 20% of the grade...IN A SHAKESPEARE CLASS! DON'T TAKE HER CLASS!

Dont take this teacher. Every time i asked her a question in class she would tell me to go read the book. And she loves to show off her dissertation and talk about her accomplishments. I'm not an englilsh major, but i always liked the subject..until i took her class.

Awful teacher. Very random and annoying. She likes to talk about herself and her fiance all the time and laughs for no apparent reason. Shes very snobby if you as questions. Avoid this class if at all possible!

Didn't think the other ratings would be true, thought it was just students who didn't do well, but they really are correct. If you get Dr. Kelly, transfer classes, no joke. She seems to grade on a total whim- if she's angry you get a C if she's happy MAYBE an A, but highly unlikely. DOES stare at the ceiling IS always late (which is super rude and means you think your time is more valuable than ours) and is very vague. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.. and her terrible nasaly voice still haunts my worst nightmares.

I thought that Dr.Kelly was the weirdest teacher that I have ever had! She laughs at her own jokes, which aren't even funny! She has a problem explaining what you should do for papers, so you have no clue what the hell you are doing in the class. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS! It will just be another headache that you dont need.

This teacher for the first minutes and a half, seems normal... then she starts laughing at her own jokes that arnt funny, then you notice her staring at the ceiling, and from there on, its all downhill...avoid this teacher, there are better ones out there! she doesnt explain the papers very well, and doesnt offer help. never on time. asks for your opinion, but it's usually wrong. daily quizzes, so read the material thoroughly. the secret to getting good grades on papers is build a relationship with her. she seems to be more favorable to those who she knows more, but she doesn't play favorites either. nice person, for the most part, just not great at teaching.
