He is a very knowledgable teacher. If you have questions, go in and see him. Expect to get degraded though. Although I didn't do very well, would still take him again. He makes you learn, but I think he needs a little more organization (no pun intended).

Awesome professor. He is the perfect example of what any professor should be. Very dedicated to education and is always willing to help, but you have to go in to his office. He is there even when he doesnt have listed office hours. Be willing to spend some time studying, but he's really not as bad as most people make him sound.

I wish Dr. Ferg taught more classes in the CS dept. Gives you two chances to do well in his tough class. I had B's on the tests (85, 80, 82) and then studied all night for the final, got an A, so he used my final and I got an A in the class. If you don't understand something, ASK HIM!
