His syllabus is very hard to understand and keep up with. He is not the most pleasant person to deal and speak with. His grading is a little harsh. He loves giving you a heavy work load knowing that you are working as a teacher by day.

Has to be the worst professor ever. He has no idea what he wants and if he does, he has no idea how to communicate it. What a fool. His assignments are vague and his instructions are even worse. How can he teach a person to be a teacher when he himself has no idea? Stay as far away as possible.

Comment:
Dr. S is very difficult to approach. I believe he wants to help students but has been teaching past his time limit. He is easily frustrated by questions, belittles students for their lack of expertise and believes that the way he does things is the only way. He will not discuss a grade that he gives you and his grading is harsh to say the least.

Dr. Sparapani is a very challenging but informative professor. He does help you when you ask him. He made me think twice about being a teacher and thanks to him I'm still in school.

I've never had a real issue with a professor in my entire academic career, until Dr Sparapani. I don't think his work load was that bad, but his poor communication and lack of consistency is noticeable. He grades harshly, often confusing his opinions for fact. He does not represent SVSU's teaching/education department principles.

Unless you're a guy, avoid this professor. He has been out of the classroom too long. I had to explain what GLCEs and HSCs are to him. It's like he lives in his own little world.

Dr. Sparapani has a very harsh way of letting you know when you messed-up, but he knows his material. He encourages students to call him at home, he aids in finding sources, and he is crystal clear about what he expects. I'm sure I'll have him again sometime, and I don't mind that one bit.

Has killed many forests in his days. Gives lots of articles that you are not sure what to do with. Does not like to discuss assignments if you have a questions about them. Very biased in his views.

Very difficult, but a great prof. Those who don't like him usually whine about the copious amount of work. True. Lots of work. He is immensely concerned with what teachers do, and how they represent the profession. His goal is to help produce teachers who are professional, and dedicated to improving teaching.

Dr. Sparapani demands much of his students. I've taken multiple classes with him; I've hated every assignment he's ever given. But, as I complete my MAT, I realize his classes helped forge me into a better teacher. He is very accomodating for questions, but best approached one on one. He is, without a doubt, the professor I wlll miss most later

He will make you work like a dog, but you will remember what he teaches you and use it in everyday teaching when you become a teacher. He has perfected the art of teacher as facilitator. He makes you learn to make sense of the chaos in your brain on a topic.

I had Dr. Sparapani 3 times and I truly believe that those who do not like him have closed minds, are lazy, and are basically... ignorant. He cares more about the profession than any other I've ever encountered.

Dr. S is one of the most pompous, self-righteous people I have ever met. I have never had a prof. that has refused to answer a question or scoffed at a belief that he didn't agree with.
