I really enjoyed this class, Prof Naser was open and available to answer even the most random of my questions with detail and clear answers. Tip: Always watch the exact wording on tests and homework. Clarify if you need to. He likes to make intentional mistakes to see if you were paying attention. Book is only for study, not class.

Professor Heravi certainly makes you work for your grade, but the assignments and responses you get back are some of the best I've come across. As a complete novice I was able to learn the basics of coding over the summer term, and was never frustrated (though I did come close at times with syntax rules). Be sure to study for exams!

I took this online, which for a programming class, made it more difficult. Naser is a great teacher though. He is very accessible and is genuinely helpful in every way that he can be. The assignments are tough and take hours to complete, but you learn a lot from the assignments and Naser gives great feedback. Would take his classes again for sure.

I thought taking his JAVA programming class online would be easy, but no way. This guys assigns homework each week that takes a novices programmer hours to complete. I mean literally like 10 hours per assignment. This is supposed to be an intro class.

Naser is Stern, but fair. there is a fair bit of reading. newcomers with no prior programming experience outside of IS 115 may find meeting his expectations to be daunting at first. however, Naser himself is approachable and easy to be around. ask for help and you'll get it.

This was an online, summer course - lots of material to cover in a short time. Professor was online after hours and over the weekend answering questions and providing feedback to the online discussion and forums. Professor Heravi is an AMAZING teacher. He explains the lessons clearly. Encourages students to participate in class discussions. He provides all the resources for the course. The course is more than just database design, w hands on Oracle SQL to apply lessons learned. He goes above and beyond helping students, more than 110% effort:EXCEPTIONAL!

Professor is very knowledgeable in Java and various programming languages. His lectures are very in depth and not only does he cover what is in the chapter currently on, but tests your understanding and logic on said topics. Always available to help regarding any codes you're stuck on. Very hands on and gives you feedback to make better programs

Naser does his best with a course, it is more problem solving with programming(python)and is not easy unless your good at problem solving. The book sucks and does not help at all and Naser sometimes does not goal until details till class begins(every two weeks. I also high recommend having experience with computers before taking this class.

professor Heravi is a great teacher. he will help you if you stuck in the class. don't be afraid to ask him any question you have. java is a very difficult class. the professor gives 6 hw assignments on the chapters discussed in class. all of them have due dates.there is a mid term and a final exam.

Professor Heravi is excellent!He replied to all my questions promptly and explained everything clearly. He's very helpful, undersdanding and easy to work with. I took he summer class online. There were 4 assignments and 2 exams.
