sweetest person ever if you get a chance to talk to him 1 on 1. he's always willing to help even though he might seem a little feisty in class. don't buy the textbook if you plan on going to class bc reviews are exactly like the tests (easy as hell) and homework is optional. boring but as long as you study the review and go to class, you have an A

I am bad in math. I took a professor before and dropped out because it was too difficult. After taking This professor during the summer I learned so much and he would take baby steps at explaining the material. he helped the students pass the course.

In my opinion, Dr.Eswarthesan is the best Math professor at Hofstra. He is always willing to help and has no problems answering student's questions. Also, his exams are straightforward and are very similar to review sessions. Overall, a really sweet person!

Eh. I received an A+ in his class only because I'd taken calc in high school. When someone asks him a question, he doesn't answer it- he just gives them a blank stare and repeats nonsense. Not helpful at all. Unclear. Lenient with grading but strict about attendance. If you're in the class with a buddy, split the cost of a textbook and share it.

Yea his accent is thick but he writes everything u need to know on the board. His accent isn't that much of a distraction if u pay attention to the lesson. It maybe a bit boring at times, but honestly, how much can u expect from a math class! I hate math but he made it easy for me to understand the subject material. He is very helpful and thorough, tells u exactly what is going to be on the test-even gives some extra time if you need it. He was definitely helpful for me!

This teacher is super boring. He writes down every word that he speaks. His accent is thick and to make it worse he doesn't understand how to answer questions. I don't like him but the subject is pretty easy so that's about the only plus side. Avoid him if possible!

Wost teacher ever!!! Took this class and i learned absolutely NOTHING! The guy writes everything right out of the textbook and I'm done the problem when he's only halfway through writing it down. Don't take this class, especially if you have some prior knowledge.

This teacher is GREAT. Not only does he give out full, detailed outlines that are identical with the test, but he will let you retake a test if you are polite and were unhappy with the original results. He actually gets the point across of what he wants you to learn, and he is always available for help and wants you to get a good grade.

A lot of people in my class complained about him but I had no problem. He explains things very thoroughly, will always go back and try and help you understand and gives detailed reviews before each test. I hate math but got an A and would take him again!

Mr Gauss-Jordan seems ok but do not be deceived. He does not want lateness, but that request is futile since no one is actually going to listen to him or take notes. When I go to class others sleep,play around and talk on their phones so it makes him ineffective Further I don't listen to one word the man says since I cannot focus beyond his accent
