Please take Professor Wolfert. I've taken her for MATH 50 and 71 and I can confirm that she is by far the right choice for you. The way she teaches is straight from the textbook and everything she lectures will reflect on what you do in the HWs and tests/final. Though she does give a lot of work, mind you that this will help you conquer her class.

Comment:

Professor Wolfert is one of the best math professors I've ever had. Her explanations are crystal clear, and her tests are similar to the class notes problems. She's picky with grading, but other than that, amazing professor.

Professor Wolfert is a very good math teacher and she knows what she is talking about. She sometimes gives a lot of homework but she goes over any problems people had trouble with in class. Her quizzes and tests are easy (consider the fact that I am a math major). She sometimes makes mistakes on the board but just correct her mistakes.

The class was pretty straight forward. 6 quizzes she drops one, 3 exams and a final. Your grade is based merely on the tests and quizzes. Attendance is not mandatory and she doesnt check homework at all. No extra credit is given whatsoever so don't even bother asking her. Your grade is based completely on your test scores and quiz scores, so focus.

She is a little awkward but a kind person, and a great professor. She really knows how to work through the material in a way that we understand it. Calc isnt an easy A for most people, but ive always been smart at math and doing minimal work i pulled off a A-. Three tests, 6 quizzes, and a final. Pretty straightforward. I'd recommend taking her.

Professor Wolfert is AMAZING!!! She explains the material very clearly on the board and answers any questions you have. She gives 7 quizzes, but drops two. Gives 3 Exams. And the Final counts as Two Exams. Overall, I enjoyed taking her and would recommend her to ANYONE! If you don't take her, you are missing out! Great Professor!!! Loved her!

She wants everyone to succeed and will help you. I went to her for extra help and she ensured me that I would be able to pass the class. Well, she failed me so that was a lie. She is a good professor, but everything was graded very particularly which failed me. If you take her, be there for every class, take notes on everything, and do ALL homework

Professor Wolfert is a really good teacher. She makes things easy to understand by going step-by-step through the problems. She takes a lot of time to answer homework questions and makes sure you understand everything. She does give homework every night but the homework is really extra material. Her tests are on class notes. Easy A!!

I'll start off by saying she's possibly the most stylish teacher I've ever had. Your grade is based on quizzes, tests, and the final. Homework is not collected. No attendance policy. But be warned, she is one of those teachers that loves pushing things to the last minute. She writes A TON on the board. Sometimes hard to keep up with her.

One of the easiest teachers I've ever had. Homework and attendance isn't mandatory and she goes over the types of problems you need to know for the tests and quizzes a lot! She answers all questions clearly and even drops the lowest quiz. Take this class if you don't like math, as long as you pay attention in half the classes you can get an A.

if you have the chance to take her, and you pass it up, you are insane. she's beyond crystal clear in explanations, hw isn't mandatory, reviews for the 3 exams, drops lowest quizes and NEVER tries to trick you on exams, she picks good problems that demonstrate the concept without confusing you. Really good teacher!! Sometimes her explanations became a little wordy and sometimes she made simple mistakes on the board, but she's human! She's also the most attractive and stylish math teacher I've ever had, which was refreshing. My only real complaint about her was that she's not a very warm person. Other than that, highly recommended!!!

This was one of the most painfully easy classes I have ever encountered. It seems as though Prof. Wolfert ought to have taught 2nd grade English, since she writes more words on the board than numbers, but even her numbers are incorrect. I corrected her basic math often. If you have ANY background in math whatsoever, don't take her.
