As others have said, stay away. I Struggled and Struggled but had ALOT of good luck. he gives 3 impossible tests each 33 1/3% of your grade. There are no other assignments. Good luck passing those impossible tests ! Only reason I passed was because of pure luck. Kean's whole Econ dept sucks extremely bad! SO it doesnt matter what teacher you get :(

NEVER EVER take him! Very slow moving class will put you to sleep! Bring a laptop or blackberry to keep occupied. Reading the book wont save your life his tests are impossible!

YOU SHOULD TAKE THIS PROFESSOR (if you want to be bored out of your mind by a 70 year old man who you can't understand). Probably the worst class I've ever had. The only upside is a generous grading curve on tests that are extremely difficult anyway. Non-Economics majors-Avoid!

Cannot understand anything he says cause his accent and casue he speaks so softly. When you ask him to speak up he cant so don't bother. Keeps you till the last second and is boring as can be. Test are 50 multiple choice that are hard as can be. Bring a pillow if you go to class.

He gave me the first F since ive been at kean, He walks in the first day of school saying "if you ont study you will fail" and he does fail you. He cant manage time, he hates kean university bc apparently rutgers is the best school, he should leave school and if you care about your GPA please dont take him!Run, Run, Run.........

Nice professor. He drills in the formulas and concepts that need to be focused on. If you read, use the study guide and attend class, you can do well. He is somewhat softspoken so if you sit in the back, good luck.

It's clear that he loves the subject matter which is nice but he is totally boring and difficult to understand. One good thing is that he grades on a sick curve which comes in handy if you don't feel like studying or reading. Not a bad professor but certainly not great.

I'm not the greatest student but i would recomend taking Carreno for any Economics class. The guy is old, boring as hell and hard to follow but he curves his tests really high cause they are impossiable to pass. Just stay in the class and dont withdrawl, he'll give you a B if you try- take my word.
