Makes math fun, it's truly a blessing. Be sure to speak when he speaks to the class. Eased the tension between math and how wack the majority of the world perceives it to be. Genuinely cares about the students, should be more professors like him.

Comment:

Mr Rose teaches very quickly and isn't an animated teacher. We would simply follow along in our handout as he answered the questions and projected them on a wall. I left most classes thoroughly confused and spent the next day re-teaching myself via Pearson. Can be condescending if you ask questions. Expect a lot of self study and Youtube videos.

Prof Rose was always there early to answer any questions. If you pay attention and follow along, he explains everything extremely well. He responded to emails and sent out reviews before each test. It was a Hybrid course and really fast paced, so if you do not catch on to math quickly, take the full semester version of the course.

I just took a summer accelerated class with Mr. Rose after being out of school for 10 plus years. The class was very fast! He was very clear and thorough with his instruction. He came in before class to help and answer questions. I received my first A in a math class. He rocks, I will take him again as a math instructor.

I dropped it- you should too. He makes you feel stupid if you ask a question, then all he does is repeat the same thing over without explaining anything. He stands at the front of the class and cracks stupid jokes, and his laugh- man his laugh is so annoying. This guys is a lunatic - unless you want to be insulted and annoyed DON'T TAKE HIS CLASS!

This teacher is absolutely by far the worst teacher I have ever had. He is useless he doesn't help you when you need help, He makes you feel dumb if you ask him a question. And don't even bother to ask him to slow down, bc he wont. If you want a teacher thats going to make stupid jokes the entire class and not teach you math then he's your guy.

Mr. Rose is an excellent instructor! Teaches in terms that students can easily understand, and with a smile! Sense of humor is excellent and keeps class fun, light and yet it moves @ high rate! 10 out of 10 gold stars for Mr. Rose!

Great teacher! Great personality, very funny, gets along with the students, and teaches each lesson very clear. In the beginning of the semester I was hesitant about being successful in this class when I saw how much material we were going to learn. Do the homework and ask questions when you dont understand and you will be fine. Fun class!

Mr. Rose is the best math teacher I had at HCC. I can see why he was voted the teacher of the year in 2009. He really makes the class interesting. I hate math class but I could not wait to go to his class, I wish I could take him for the rest of my math classes. One thing make sure you do (at least try)all your assignments if you want extra help.

He is really funny, I thought he was a good teacher even though I didn't really like some of the ways he spoke to me he often did make me feel stupid I don't recommend taking him if you are sensitive as I am and do not like people talking down to me. But if you just want to learn you have solid skin, and love to laugh I recommend him

Terrible. DO NOT take his class if you struggle with math. He mocks the students who ask questions. On the other hand, if you do understand the topic that's being covered, you'll be bored to tears. He also reguarly starts class a good 15 to 20 minutes late. Honestly, the guy is the worst teacher I've had- EVER.

I thought he was great. Math has never been my strongest subject and he made it easy to understand the concepts he was teaching. He's only "not helpful" if you don't do your homework. He gives an opportunity for anyone who attempted the homework and unit reviews to ask questions and he will go through the problems with the class.

Terrible. The worst teacher I think I've had since I've been here. He was not helpful at all, was not clear in anything he tried to teach us and was completely rude to a lot of the students in my class.
