Very rude teacher. Short tempered and abrupt. Showed almost no interest in my work & gave me little help in his radio program & did not even know what kind of music show I had after all my extra time & efforts for 2 semesters. Insulted me during awards presentation for no good reason when I NEVER did anything to deserve it.

Prof Wirig was great throughout the whole semester. You have to work for your grade, but that is something you should be doing anyways. He is clear on what needs to be done and gives excellent feedback after every big assignment. He can get a little off topic during lectures, but the conversations are always entertaining. Definitely worth taking

Dr. Wirig is by far one of my favorite professors. If you miss a class it's okay, just make sure to get the notes from someone else because his tests are based off of them. There's only one paper due through the entire class and he goes easy on the grading on it. The final is NOT cumulative, it's only based on the last section. I do recommend him!

Wirig gives long lectures that can sometimes be kind of dull but most of the time they are pretty interesting. He is very passionate about the subject and his students success. There is one essay through out the class. And the test a pretty easy. His final is not accumulative. It would only be on the last section of the course.

took the intersession course, so it was very intense if you don't show up every day for 3 weeks, might as well not take the class he used the textbook somewhat the tests were more focused on his lectures which were pretty explanatory he is very knowledgable and an expert on the topic one research paper at the end of the session

Dr. Wirig is one tough cookie. At first. He is very focused on your success and he will help you in any way he can if you show interest. Attendance is absolutely mandatory. You will learn a lot - he is very organized and knowledgeable. Don't hesitate to take him. He's also funny :)

Prof Wirig is extremely knowledgeable in the field which he teaches. He may seem stern (and he is), but he also treats his students like family. Give alot, and you will get alot. This class was my LIFE while I was enrolled, highly recommended to all majoring in MCOM

He has career experience which is good, and gives his students an introduction of what to expect in the professional arena. The problem is that his teaching method - which involves yelling - could be interpreted as a little aggressive. He encourages questions but sometimes gets testy when you ask them. He is hasty with some of his explanations.

Evan makes his classes captivating & interesting. He knows everything there is to know about the media world. His knowledge is profound & it transfers over to his students in his lectures. Comment:

Great Teacher. Prof. Wirig gives us the tools for us to succeed. I was scared about announcing, but he taught me self-confidence and gave constructive critcism of my projects. I look forward to more classes with Prof Wirig. If you take classes from him, participate, show up on time and get yout stuff in on time and you'll do fine.
