Comment:

3203 with Kranakis is quite a strange course. Much like Mengchi's 3005, it has a strange emphasis on theory instead of practicality. During assignments, if you're not stuck due to an ambiguity in a question (which happens far too often), you'll spend most of your time doing basic grade 9/10 geometry, along with some trivial probability. Easy A.

Comment:

Pretty much a computer science prof that should have been a math prof. Learned more about calculating distances between modems then on packets and internet protocols. Smart guy teaching the wrong course. He'd be great at teaching the computational computer science courses like discrete structures or algorithm analysis but not networking.

Nice guy, but he's not very helpful in class. Basically reads off of the slides, which you can tell are years old with minor additions. Brags about how easy everything he teaches is, then struggles to answer questions. Final project description was very vaguely written. Doesn't use cuLearn.

This guy reads his slides word for word, has no notion of time as he rambles on and on until someone tells him he has to stop reading the slides because class is over. You can tell all he does is recycle past exams and midterms, and he just changes the date on his 10 year old slides. what a waste of time

Prof just reads his slideshows word for word, which are terrible and made years ago. Doesn't use the textbook that he chose for the course (he wrote it). Hasn't been able to answer a student's question for the entire semester so far. Lectures not worth going to. His test review was reading the titles of the slides we've covered so far. Awful prof.

He's a pretty good professor. While it's hard for a first year student to really get into the subject matter, he does actually teach it well. One -ve is that he doesn't answer questions well in class (he will simply re-read the slide expecting you to get it the second time around). Good assignments.

He doesn't seem to know what he's talking about. He often makes mistakes. Some of the course material was very useless and the parts that weren't he has mistakes about in the notes and can't explain. If you ask a question or correct him he is stumpted!

Gives tough tests that often seem irrelevant to the course material. Projects are time consuming but gives full marks as long as you put in an effort. Lecture notes are often unclear and poorly organized- you'll want to supplement them.
