If you're an English major, it's not hard to get an A in her class if you understand from the beginning that while her assignments are open-ended, she has strict expectations for what she wants. If she tells you she wants between 300 to 500 words, she wants no less than 500 words. She will mark you down if you go below the maximum length. Good luck

She is downright mean. She picks favourites, and it really has nothing to do with how well written your papers are. She hands out "A" examples when she hands assignments back, and they're usually awful. Stay away, if you can. The work is WAY too much for the course.

This class was WAY too much for requirement. There is homework every night, a presentation, an 8-10 pg paper, and a mid term and final. For the poetry section she can't take anyone else interpretations, it's ridiculous. She is pushy about the bible and religion and needs to understand it's a req class and not everyone is interested in the material.
