Great instructor with spectacular qualities. It's a totally fair game! She plays her best role to facilitate the course and you need to reciprocate and participate as well. She has her students' best interest at heart and is equipped with great experience and knowledge to help them with strategies so they can successfully pass the course.

Josje is the best instructor at Camosun! She gives really useful feedback on assignments and goes above and beyond to help students. Will not tolerate rudeness or if you're late. Be prepared to study (no slacking with her as instructor) but learn lots! Taken 3 classes with her- she's really good.

Comment:

One of the most interesting and knowledgeable courses at Camosun. That's if you ever want to be successful and legal managing your employees. She does a great job of teaching you your own rights too! It was a challenging course, but Josje is an amazing and fun teacher. Not my highest grade this semester, but I will take the most from it.

I found Josje's class really difficult to sit through. She sometimes seemed conceited, as if she knew so much better than all of the students. She marks quickly but acts like a martyr because of it. Watch her marking - it comes out of nowhere in particular and can catch you off guard; BUT many others in the class liked her, so I hope that you do!

Josje is an amazing facilitator. She's extremely knowledgeable and willing to do what it takes to help students understand. She grades assignments based on the course objectives and offers helpful advice when marking papers. I've taken three of her classes and consider her to be one of the best facilitators I had throughout my studies.

Jasha is awesome teacher.I would recommend her to everyone who wants to do well in this class.Her lectures are clear, she gives tonnes of handouts that are helpful, and if you didn't get something she will explain it to you in person.She is fair in her marking, but takes marks for grammar mistakes, so watch for it!I really enjoyed her class.Cheers

She knows what she is talking about, no doubt. However Josjes lectures are very much verbal and as someone who learns from doing and seeing.. it was challenging. Some of the comments she gives back on work tends to be on the rude and/or sarcastic side. Shes not above occasionally "burning a student at the cross" if they are struggling to understand

I went into this without any expectation of Law and I left really liking it. Josje (pronounced Yasha) will do her best to help you as long as you show that you want to do well. There are quizes almost every class before she lectures the chapter which really helped me stay focused on the class. She is by far my favourite teacher!

Josje was a great facilitator for our online course. She set out a fairly structured way to learn online which is a great strategy and a selling point for online learning. I would definitely take another course from her. She is approachable, and to the point. One of my favorites.

Great teacher; really knows her stuff (former lawyer). Mixes lectures with in class exercises and presentations to avoid boredom. My only complaint- weekly quizzes and no cheat sheet for exams like other classes get which I think is totally unfair.

VERY good law teacher. Definately recomend if you dont wanna have a boring class. She is always willing to help a student if they dont understand something, and she goes over stuff enough that it rarely happens when a student doesnt understand anything :P

Josje is one of the most influential instructors I have ever had. She makes law interesting and inspired me to continue my studies onto law school. She is a true one of a kind. Highly recommended if your not scared of working hard.
