Comment:

She is an amazing teacher and gives a lot of good feedback. She is very accessible during office hours. If you're willing to work with her, she is willing to work with you. One day a week and missing one day is missing a whole weeks worth of class. One con is that she doesn't tell you what can be expected on the tests until the week before.

Comment:

Mme Berman is a native speaker so that is a plus. She is very energetic and happy, but is strict with tardies and absences. There is always homework, but it's not much/hard. Speaking in her class is very important. She goes through material fast but she really tries to make students learn. Laziness and tardiness is a no-no. She is worth taking.

Dr. Berman is the sweetest!! I took her for French 1 and French 3, she is an amazing professor who cares about her students! She's extremely energetic and always have a smile on her face. I can't wait for my French 4 class with her next semester! Take her! You won't regret it!

Dr. Berman is an amazing teacher. If you enjoy French she is definitely the right teacher for you. There is homework every night based off of what was taught in class. You may want yo visit her during office hours for extra practice. Also you do go online to do homework as well but in the end all the homework and practice is worth it.

This teacher is amazing. She makes class fun and exciting. Homework in necessary to learn the subject and pass the tests but she reviews everything. I would recommend her to anyone looking to take a foreign language as if you do what she says to do, you will not only pass but get an A in her class. I cannot wait until I have her again in Fr 3&4.

Dr. Berman is a fabulous teacher! She's patient and understanding and more than reasonable. Homework is constant and practice is beyond necessary (for any language) - do your homework, come to class, participate and you'll be golden. I highly recommend starting French with this professor. I had an amazing semester because of her class.

hands-down the best language teacher (and one of the best teachers, period) that I have ever had. lively (at 7:30 a.m!), funny, nice, and very clear and concise during lessons. lots of in-class practice--missing class is a huge disadvantage. short, mostly easy homework assignments (but not doing them adds up). wonderful.

Very helpful teacher. Funny. Pretty lenient on the homework as long as you turn it in next class. Tests are relatively easy as long as you pay attention during lectures. If you're genuinely interested in learning French, you MUST study at home. Otherwise, easy class. Don't miss a day or you'll fall behind.

Best french teacher ive had, super helpful and very thorough. Small, frequent homework assignments, done in 5 minutes. Study well, speak up and interact in class, and youll get a good grade, no sweat!

She's only helpful to the students she likes and that is if you're a french major or a musician. If you're a business major, do not tell her, she's allergic to that. Also she bashes on the U.S. alot. I just didn't understand that part, if she hates the U.S. so much, then leave. If she doesn't like you, she'll find ways to lower your grades.

This is honestly one of the best teachers at El Camino. She is funny and teaches the material extemely well. I took her for French 1,3, and 5. Highly Recommended. Like all langauges classes however, it requires time and studying texy book. Not recommended for slackers.

I don't understand why everyone thinks she is a good teacher or why she won a teaching award.She is probably the worst teacher/prof I have EVER had.This was French3 at college, but was French1 high school-level material. All she does is bash on the US. She taught me absolutely nothing and she was very condescending as well as a big-time complainer.
