Easiest class I ever took at the U. I showed up about once every two weeks and got an A still. His tests are based right off the study guides he gives you. He assigns a few short opinion papers but you never get them back. If you have at least an A- after the two tests, which isn't difficult, you don't have to take the final. He's also hilarious.

He is BY FAR the best for Theology. 2 exams and a final and he tells you exactly what's on them. Four easy 400 word writing assignments on random topics for a total 25% of overall grade. Two online quizzes that were so easy. Doesn't take attendance. Easy A for those willing to put in minimal effort. TAKE HIM. If you can't, wait until you can.

Fr. Sable is a great professor. Only three tests and gives an opportunity for Extra Credit for coming to class before a break (Fall Break, Thanksgiving). The Papers aren't bad but don't expect to get them back.

Comment:

Best theology professor at this school. Funny, attendance is not mandatory, and easy tests. Just make sure you show up the day before exams because he holds a review session and basically gives every answer to the tests. Good class!

Father Sable is the best teacher to take if you want an easy B+/A for a theology course. He has a review day before each test where he tells you the exact topics that will be on the test. Couple of easy writing assignments, and he gives out hints to what specific things will be on the test. He also has some great jokes!! Take him.

Father Sable teaches lecture style. Never returns papers, but gives everyone an 88 anyway. His tests are everything he has done in class, so just show up and you are fine. Gives hints about everything that is on test. He is hysterical and loves to use wikipedia. Better to take for 50 min class.

More of a preacher than a professor! Just talks for the full class, when class is over, you wonder what the hell just happened. Tests are impossible, quotes from Bible are ridiculous! Been 2 months and still dont have papers back - Need to have some background in this area before you take him otherwise you wont know whats going on! Very Hard Course

If you are satisfied with a B and not learning ANYTHING, take him. But all you do is read the bible, no explanations, no discussion, just reading. His tests and assignments are easy but you'll only get 8 point something on your papers. Oh, and he tries to be funny, but he isnt, he is actually pretty offensive for a priest.

If you have the opportunity, DO NOT TAKE SABLE. Basically because you will work much MUCH harder in his class then you need to by far for any other professor who teaches Theology 1. Tests are INSANE and even after hours of studying, you will not get a good grade. Takes paragraphs right out of the Bible and X's out the names and asks you to identify

I laughed at all of his jokes, he's got quite the sense of humor on him. He's a good guy, class isn't hard if you study being that he gives you the answers to all the tests. His papers are easy and can be completed within 10 minutes. Take him.
