I regret taking this class, as it required weekly & lengthy discussion posts, 3 essays that were harshly marked and unhelpful feedback on all assignments. English is my strongest subject and I did poorly in this class, despite how hard I worked. The plays, novels and poems were interesting, but I do not recommend this professor.

Absolutely should have read these comments before taking her online English course! I can't believe her, actually. Fairly hard marker, very critical of students, even condescending. I mean, it is a first-year English class, after all. If given the choice I'd never take a class with this professor again. I hope she reads all of these comments soon.

She is the least helpful prof I've seen at Langara. I don't mind hard markers, but I just don't like how she marks hard but at the same time doesn't teach anything. Unfair, Unclear, unfriendly. I do not recommend her at all.

I can't recommend Felicia as a professor at all. Perhaps it is the fact that she struggles running an online course.There is no fostering of discussion, with the exception of chat which is run one hour a week. Very frustrating for an online course! very rigid and closed minded, and unwilling to engage in discussion which runs counter to her opinion

Felica is not interested in teaching or you doing well. She will not submit any constructive feedback through email. She will not tell you why your thesis is flawed, but will proceed to fail you on that premise. She will not felicitate interesting or helpful discussions online. I cannot give her a higher rating nor can I recommend her to anyone.

Felicia has a bit of a prickly side to her, but I actually enjoyed her Eng 1129 class. She fostered a lot of interesting conversation, and she opened my eyes to new writing techniques. That being said I wouldn't take her class again, I found the way she marked kind of unfair.

this bitter woman has ice in her veins, she just goes the extra mile to make u miserable and fail her class! she's also very unclear with her syllabus and her instructions too. it doesn't matter too if you're good or not at writing, if you don't do it her way and she doesn't like it, you're dead!

I took an online course, and found her to be extremely unhelpful in regard to emails I sent her about the course material. I was an honours English student in high school, got an A in ENGL 1128 at Langara, but managed to scrape by with a B- in this course.

Not very nice when it comes give giving feedback. Rather than helping a student improve and give useful advice, be ready to have your work get butchered. You may think you did a good job, but you will not get a good grade and your paper will be written all over.

Felicia is a smart woman and knows a lot about English, but her knowledge doesn't translate into being an effective instructor. Her instruction and marking styles are erratic and she doesn't really teach anything. I am already very good at English so had no trouble in her class but students who are not so inclined WILL suffer.

I've never dropped a course before, but I just dropped hers. Very demanding. In an online course, I sent her a thesis for approval, she rejected it. I sent her another, she rejected it. I replied back to her that I didn't know what she wanted, and instead of telling me, she accepted the 2nd rejected thesis. The books she chose were not ideal.

Id you are looking for an easy way to get through 1129, don't take her. She is demanding, a hard marker and incomprehensible at times. She'll keep sending you to the writing centre if your writing skills don't improve. She often chooses complicated, odd and depressing novels for class discussions. Talk about sex and society, you'll do well.
