Comment:

Best history professor I've ever had, very engaging lectures and questions to the class, hilarious yet serious remarks about major figures and events from the very distant past, 50 minutes go by easy. But make sure to read the assignments and answer questions in class. It will save you a lot of work at the end of the semester.

Comment:

One of the best teachers at Springfield. He wont penalize you if you dont come to class, but he will reward those who come and participate in his class. He has a great sense of humor and makes great jokes, which helps keep the class moving along and prevents his lectures from being completely dry and boring.

Tells history like a story. He is really passionate about history and makes you think about the mindset of the people living in various historical eras that you are learning about. Highly recommend taking any of his classes if you enjoy history but do not take his class if you are not interested in history and looking for an easy class.

Excellent professor who enjoys history. Hh helps you out on exams if you do the readings for class. Exams are tough and cover many chapters. Just put an effort forth and you'll do fine. Very GOOD professor

While pursuing his PhD, he was the teaching asst for my Occ Civ history class at Johns Hopkins in the late 1980s. Excellent teacher, very bright, absolutely willing to answer questions and discuss history. He will give his all, but he expects likewise from his students.
