Comment:

As a non-SOCY student, I really enjoyed this course and has been my favorite during my undergrad. Lectures were totally engaging and I found myself listening attentively rather than scrambling to write notes. Content, structure and professor's engagement are all things that make me love this course.

Comment:

Dr. Kay has been my favourite professor at Queen's for all of my studies. I chose her as my thesis supervisor because she is incredibly passionate about her students, and their success. Her courses are built to challenge your thinking and attendance would be beneficial. I really recommend Dr. Kay for students looking to pursue graduate level.

Amazing prof! Beyond caring about students in any circumstances. Encourages communication through email or office hours about anything, even just to chat about material. Content was incredibly engaging and I genuinely enjoyed each day I had class with her (even the 8:30AMs!). Material was presented clearly w lots of examples to help memory on tests

A real pearl. Lectures are dynamic and packed full of content. Every class I learned so much and left class eager for the next lecture. She's one of a kind. Shame she is not teaching fourth year classes. Recommend all her classes.

Dr. Kay is extremely organized, which makes note-taking and understanding material very easy. Her extensive use of examples, and with a broad subject matter contributes to the relevance of subjects taught. I was pleased she incorporates previous students' feedback to continually improve the course. One of the best profs at Queen's.

This class had more direction than my other 400 level classes. Honestly I think I learned more in this class than all my other 400 courses combined. It if were earlier in the year I would have nominated Dr. Kay for prof of the year!

Professor Kay is a wonderful teacher who really tries to explain material in a way that is easy to comprehend. She always kept in mind that the topics covered in the class were often new concepts to the students, and she was empathetic and understood when someone did not get a concept. I signed up for another of her classes this year.

Dr. K is an amazing prof who presents material really clearly. Her enthusiasm about subject comes through in her lectures, and she also makes it obvious that she cares about the success of her students. This course has definitely made me wan to take additional courses in this area in the future. Great course!

The professor's enthusiasm really helped gt through some of the more complex issues. Professor Kay is very professional and an extremely effective teacher. She has many aspects of her lecturing abilities that make all that she says significant. She also has a great sense of humor and lightens up some of the more serious aspects of the course.

Dr. Kay is an excellent prof: She's intelligent, engaging, entertaining and challenging. She presents material well in class and links ideas/topics well. Dr Kay is my favorite professor at Queens. I have taken 3 of her courses and have learned so much from her. She is very organized, clear teaching style, she is enthusiastic, helpful and has clear expectations that I feel make doing work for her courses so much more enjoyable.

The material was presented clearly. Dr. Kay provided lots of background info on topics discussed, to contextualize what we were learning. I felt I was able to learn a lot, beyond what was outlined in the syllabus, and practice analytical thinking.

Dr. Kay is the best prof I have ever had. She genuinely loves the subject and cares about our success in the course which makes me love coming to class. I love how she is responsive to our needs and designs the course to help us succeed. I also like how she never makes you feel bad about asking a question and is never degrading or unclear.
