I don't really like Fiona's class, I get lost a lot! I think she knows a lot, but when it comes to lectures she is slow. She gave us chapters from a textbook, which was amazing, but also she added lots of other readings, and she asked a lot about the readings in the midterm.

She is very slow with her grading and is a tough marker. Her classes are pathetically setup and you have to attend her lectures or you will not know whats going on in the course because no amount of textbook reading or friend's notes can save you.

Fiona really knows what she is talking about. You have to attend class since her explanations are very good and therefore you do not have to rely on textbook. her midterm was very fair and covered all details. Helpful and kind!

VERY tough marker. Did decent on high school essays but she murdered me in this course. Go to lectures/seminars for some participation marks, take advantage of group project to get some easy marks too. Not interesting course material, but she attempts (and fails) to make it semi-exciting.

Her lectures are dry and her assignment instructions are very vague. Monotone voice makes staying away difficult, bring snacks if you get bored easily. However, Fiona is a very supportive prof if you talk to her personally in office hours.

Fiona is a really nice prof! Although she can sometimes be a little bit dry she is very knowledgable and has lots of fascinating experience in her field. She is also very understanding. This class provided a really nice high-school-like community!

Really cool professor! Her seminars are interesting and fun, really nice to have interaction with a prof in first year and get to know her. Would love to hear more about Malawi!!

She teaches the most boring class ever. It's hard to stay awake since she mostly reads off the powerpoint slides and 30% of her speech is "Uhhhhh"; seminar based course which is beyond dumb because it tries to APPEAL to your feelings. If you're a pure Science student, oh man.

She is a great Prof! She is very approachable and helpful. She may repeat what is on the slides but that is because it helps students to see information more than once and in more than one format (some people are visual learners and others auditory). I wold take another class with her in a second.

Clear lack of interest in presenting material in a clear and concise manner.What irritated about her class was not that everyone got creamed on the midterm, but that she complained that everyone failed who didn't attend class (which wasn't true) and then didn't spend any time taking up the answers to the questions that everyone got wrong!

This class if very interesting. However, the prof need to learn HOW to teach. Instead of repeating everything once again from the notes, maybe she should TEACH? She is accusing people of not attending her 8 am class. Well it's partially her fault. There's no point going to a class where the prof just repeat everything on the printout once again.
