Laurie is a prof that takes her work very seriously, is extremely knowledgeable about the field of psyc. and at the same time is a very real, humorous, humble and generous person. It was a joy and privilege to be in her classroom!

I found Laurie to be funny and enthusiastic! She shared personal examples that made the class "real". Her notes, assignments and tests were really clear and straight forward. The material itself is challenging, she made it clear and easy to understand IF you did the work. Loved her class, would take her again in a minute!

Really nice person, you'd have to be a moron to understand the course material. She lays everything out well, really clear and easy to understand. Was my favourite class of the semester.

I really like this prof and class! She talks to you like you're a kindergarten student, but her massive notes prove to serve well and her assignments make you use the text, and help you learn the material! I really like her style of teaching, this is my favorite class so far this semester.

I would avoid her at all cost, she is a tough marker, and all she gives are overhead notes and you have to copy them all, so while she is giving examples you are writing notes and she always uses her examples in assignments, so its annoying, becuase you are trying to get example while trying to keep up with notes.

Before I had Laurie, everyone told me she was tough, and unclean. I had her for Testing & Assesment, and I disagree. She gave us 3 tests, and one OPTIONAL paper. The tests were MC and shortans (that she gave before hand). I did the readings the nite before the tests and got an A+ in the class. She's also very helpful outside of class.

She is a good enough prof but talks to the class like its a room full of grade one students, which is annoying and distracting. There are alot of notes but they are generally helpful and if you follow her in-depth study guides you should do ok on exams. The assignments are easy and she's pretty apporachable but hard to get ahold of.

Listening to her is like biting tinfoil. A very kindergarten teacher voice. Places emphasis on the wrong syllable and has an annoying tendency to stop...and then go on...like a see-saw...and there's no end. Her ability to write what she wants the question to say is nil, so you have give the answer to the question you think she wants to ask. Horrid.

Laurie was nice but very unorganized in her teaching. No matter how you studied, hard or not at all, her tests would screw you around as the questions were all over the place. I loved the idea of the class, but was disappointed with it.

The Fitz seems like an all around nice person... infact, too cheerful. She has the mentality of a kindergarten teacher on an acid trip. It comes across like she thinks she's SO much smarter than us. If you want an easy mark, take this class. If you want to be treated like a university student, dont!

Class was poorly put together. Tests were all multiple choice, which is ok, but there are many questions asked that are not even covered through the class. She isn't the nicest either. Why would a St Thomas teacher wear a DAL sweatshirt(like everyday)? She thinks she is smarter than she really is.

Took her class last year... hated it. No offense to Psych majors... I found her rude at times. All her tests were multiple choice. If you like the odds, take it. If you like essays because they really show how you have processed information, find another class.
