I took his class about 7 years ago now, and I have been a classroom teacher since. When I took the class, thought he was nuts, if clear and helpful, Now, I see he was right, in methods instruction and substance too. What he said would probably happen did happen. He said, I have no crystal ball" but maybe he does.

I took a lot of classes in the SDSU college of ed. This was the only one that was not taught by a moron. He created a classroom COMMUNITY, he challenged us in every way, he was always available either on the net or in person, he knew his stuff, and he took pains to know us. He does not fit in at sdsu, though he does not know it yet.

He loved to talk about himself, his political views and his life. It had nothing to do with the course. He just liked having an audience. He told everyone the first day that he would give us an "A". It didn't matter whether we attended class or did any classwork. I feel his class was a waste of time.

The whole point of this class is to educate future teachers by teaching them methods. Some how he missed that part in orientation. This teacher should not be teaching future teachers, maybe he should have his own class outside of education. If you are a social studies teacher take another class and get some methods.

Really thoughtful, smart, challenging. Helped me see the world in a new way. This bothered some of my classmates, but he really cared about each of us and was very fair with the grades. I learned a lot about the world, and about real life teaching.

This class is an ok class if you DO NOT need method help, (which I know you need!). He brings up big important issues, but does not help you give the tools you need to realistically teach in a classroom. Nice man, good material, wrong class discription! To slanted to social-justice views.

All that he cares about are his misguided ideological views. Anybody who can explain to me how teaching elementary students that capitalism is evil and socialism is good is sadly now a member of his left-wing camp. The class didn't teach me a thing.

He is one of my favorite instructors ever! He cares a lot about his students and is always available to help. But the best thing about him is that he cares more about you learning than grades. So if you do all the work ( which isn’t much ) he’ll give you

I really enjoyed his class; He's a cool prof. He's a bit nutty, but I think he does a good job of teaching. He cares about his students.
