Comment:

Easy course if you come from a good high school, but if not good luck. Flora made paying attention in class a very rare occurrence since all she did was read off the slides. She also used a microphone (or barely did as a matter of fact), that was connected to a speaker that made a horrible sound. Spent an hour trying to fix it, didn't work.

Her lectures are usually not overly clear but she won't stop and explain things unless you ask. That's not bad though, she just assumes that if nobody's asking then everyone gets it. If you don't want to be the one to ask in lecture, go to her office hours. She is brilliant in a one on one setting.

Absolutely horrible prof. Attending her lectures is absolutely useless. She teaches everything via powerpoint and skips through slides way too far. She'll skip all the easy learning examples and immediately try the hardest example. 90% if the class will be completely lost and she won't do a damn thing. Avoid at all costs.

I've never been much of a chemistry fan, but after CHEM120 with Prof. Ng, I never want to take another one again. She was hard to understand and expected everyone to already know as much as she does. She wouldn't even answer our questions, even if they only had a yes or no answer.

Doesn't teach, just reads powerpoint slides. Is visibly annoyed at teaching and being in class. Has a horrible accent. Yells at students for talking, and threatens to drag them up to the front.

Once you understand her Cantonese accent, she actually explains quite well. Go to her office hours. (Also she tells you random facts in class like helium is gonna run out in 5 years)

She was a TA when I had her class. She gave nice examples and good explanations. She had clear understanding of the subject matter - really enjoyed her tutorials (one of the very few courses for which I regularly went to tutorials)

Very realistic and down to earth woman. A little confusing at times but will make time for you in her very busy schedule to explain and go over things. Understands the workload and doesn't make things too hard on students.
